We’re past the Aquarius Full Moon and Partial Lunar Eclipse which occured at 2:10 PM EDT on Aug. 7, 2017, at 15+ degrees of the Aquarius-Leo axis, marking the end of the cycle that began on the Leo New Moon two weeks ago.
By now you know, Eclipses mean business and August promises to rearrange the landscape of our lives, putting us on the path (and fast track) to destiny — individually and collectively.
There are major developments unfolding globally, and especially if you live here in the U.S. the political climate is heated — with the Eclipses due to bring dramatic developments.
Still, now more than ever, with the Sun and North Node in Leo, the sign of the “individual”, at the time of Eclipses, the current climate asks that we pierce the veil of illusion of to get to the heart of “reality”; to enter deeper and more consciously in our individual journey of self-realisation — which is the ultimate destiny of every soul.
Where you have Leo and Aquarius in your chart — these are the areas of your life highlighted by the Eclipses. Aquarius rules technology, groups, community, ‘friends’, the collective consciousness, among other things; Leo primarily rules the self, one’s passion, sexuality, youth, inner being, love, romance, creativity, and the heart; so you can expect to see some of these themes being played out.
Full Moon’s and a Lunar Eclipse especially mark endings; at the South Node the next two weeks mark a phase of a profound deep release, and clearing space — emotionally, mentally, and physically (especially in the area of your life ruled by Aquarius) — of all that stands in the way you being you, following your passion, and opening your heart (Leo.)
This is very creative, passionate, inspiring, and illuminating energy — asking you to be spontaneous, bold, daring, inventive, and innovative. You’re becoming undeniably aware of your own passions, desires, fears, and needs to be liked, loved, and accepted. You can have what you want, but you have to dare to acknowledge it to yourself first, clear space for it, and not be in a hurry to fill a void.
The Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius — a fixed, air sign — suggests a need for emotional detachment, rather than trying to cling. Relationships too (business and personal) are changing and restructuring themselves.
As the Full Moon reflects the light of the Sun — so situations in your life are reflecting something to you about yourself. As the Earth’s shadow eclipses the Moon, so symbolically there is also need to confront your “shadow” and “unconscious,” so it doesn’t cast a shadow on your future, which (the Sun and Mars in Leo by the North Node suggest) is brighter than you imagine.
You can’t grasp the air but you can allow it envelope you; take a deep breath if things are heated, and find your centre in the midst of a storm or seeming chaos, rather than react in haste. As much things are up in the air, what goes up must come down, and the more you trust a natural process over the coming two weeks, you can allow space for things can fall into place rather perfectly and magically.
You’re learning how undeniably intertwined your life is with those around you. Still you’re the co-creator of your life and destiny, and have an integral role to play in what’s unfolding. If you’re feeling isolated or alienated this your cue to open yourself, your heart, be vulnerable and ask for the help you need.
This Eclipse asks for deep self-reflection, rather than projecting your needs and desires outward. Be kind, loving, compassionate, and offer the freedom, and acceptance that you too need and it will be easier to restore harmony, or find the deeper connection you desire.
At the time of the lunation, the Moon was in a trine to Jupiter, the Sun applying in a sextile to Jupiter, and Mercury applying in a sextile to Venus; and Mercury is nearing its retrograde station, in opposition to Neptune.
Expect a flurry of information, presenting you with huge choices and options; a solution to a dilemma might be nearer than you think. Still not all is as it seems and there’s more to a story than meets the eye. In the coming days a story is unraveling, showing you the deeper layers (perhaps dirt) allowing you to see something, someone, and perhaps yourself and your desires, in a new light… Continued.
