“Even After All this time
The Sun never says to the Earth,
“You owe me.”
Look
What happens
With a love like that,
It lights the whole sky.”

Dear Friends,
I’m sure you can feel the Full Moon madness by now. The energy is positively buzzing and in less than 12 hours, the Moon will be full at 28+ Aquarius at 9:44 PM EDT.
The tension does begin to release after the lunation peaks, bringing a sense of relief, freedom and being able to breathe again. But expect revelations to surface that could at very least surprise you, and possibly change everything.
This lunation also coincides with Rakhi Pornima. On this Full Moon day each year, sisters tie a sacred thread around their brothers’ wrist as a symbol of their undying love, in return the brother vows and offers his sister his protection.
Look back to what was occurring at the time of the last Full Moon on July 22, 2013 and then look back to what began to unfold with the Leo New Moon, now we reach the culmination of that cycle. Being the second Aquarius Full Moon this year, it’s like we’re coming full circle within the span of a month, seeing something in a whole new light all over again.
Also this Full Moon conjuncts Nessus — a centaur planet that speaks of “multi-generational abuse.” Nessus’ keyword is ‘the buck stops here.’ The Moon reflects the light of the Sun, and the Sun in Leo above all represents the Self.
With self-awareness and self-acceptance comes the opportunity to break free of patterns we’ve consciously or subconsciously perpetuated or suffered. Blaming oneself, others or the past, is a waste of time; the buck stops with you, me and each one of us. And the Leo Sun is a reminder of the power of the “NOW.”
No man is an island, we are an inter-connected interdependent collective web. What affects one, eventually affects all. And unless we’re able to take responsibility of ourselves and our energy, we’re likely to color our world unconsciously and it won’t be such a pretty picture.
The Leo-Aquarius axis is a fixed axis — Leo represents “romantic love” and “sex for fun” while Aquarius represents “friends” or the love we have for friends — a more detached love, but still “fixed,” steady and undying traversing space and time.
Perhaps the biggest lesson is learning to love ourselves better — and recognize and ignore the inner judgmental, critical voice that says ‘you are not good enough’ — only then can we have compassion for all our ‘brothers and sisters’.
In the days after the lunation, as we move through the end of the month, there are major aspects between planets everyday; and Mars and Mercury change signs. Also, the six pointed star aligns again in the sky suggesting there’s another window of potential opening for magic.
What is revealed at this Full Moon is bringing the opportunity to clean up our act, and make deep rooted changes and necessary shifts as we move forward with a clean slate. All in all, this month ends on a high note and it’s far from over yet…

Also — here is a link to today’s edition of Planet Waves FM covering this Aquarius Full Moon recorded by Eric Francis.
A word from Eric — “In tonight’s edition of Planet Waves FM, I cover both the Aquarius Full Moon (exact Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 9:44 pm EDT) and the elusive them of the Age of Aquarius. I do so with some help from the book Esoteric Astrology; I’ve provided a few quotes from that book, selected by Laurie Burnett (click on title above to get those).”

On a personal note — As above so below, it’s a bit crazy around here today in my world with the Full Moon on my IC and the Sun on my MC. I’m rushing to meet a few deadlines but hopefully will be able to get out later, perhaps take a hike in the mountains and bask under the moonbeams. I’ll be back with more astrology soon, but till then, from my heart to yours — I wish you LOVE and a very Happy Full Moon…
Priya Kale, Aug. 20, 2013, Kingston, NY
p.s.
A very happy Raksha Bandhan to my brother, best friend and favorite person in the whole world, Apoo. I love you.
