“One who knows the transcendental nature of My appearance and activities does not, upon leaving the body, takes his birth again in this material world, but attains My eternal abode. O Arjuna” – Bhagavad-Gita 4-9
We’re at the Last Quarter of the Moon and there are major aspects unfolding in this final week, before the Virgo New Moon on Sept. 9, 2018 — offering a chance to wipe the slate clean and start over. Also, Venus enters shadow tonight on Sept. 2, 2018, at 11:33 PM at 25+ Libra.
“Venus squares Mars on Sept. 8, shortly after Saturn stations direct on Sept. 6, making us undeniably aware of what we want, and where we stand. This is followed by Venus’ ingress in Scorpio, and Mars ingress in Aquarius at the Virgo New Moon on Sept. 9.
“These are major shifts. There’s a sense of becoming undeniably aware of your desires, drawing you deeper in a commitment, or giving you the impetus you need to finally release what you’ve outgrown. You could be deepening connections with partners with whom you make a formidable team, share common goals and the sum of what you create together is greater than what you could achieve individually.
“But even the best relationships require mutual adjustment, compromise, and work. No matter how much you love someone — there will always be times that challenge you to stretch and grow beyond your comfort zone. We choose to commit — in good times and bad. But you also have the power to not continue to invest in situations that drain you or prevent your growth.
Mars recently stationed direct and is recovering territory we’ve been in since mid-May. Mars’ retrograde phase has brought greater self-awareness of desires, fears, and motivations — and the coming days are bringing further clarity to personal goals.
Now as Venus enters shadow — we’re learning lessons of co-operation, relationships, working with others in a team, healing, putting the ego aside, for a greater and common goal. Pay attention to what is unfolding now, especially in your relationships, and the area of your life ruled by Libra. You will be re-visiting this territory mid-November as Venus returns to this point in the zodiac and stations direct on Nov. 16, 2018. This is a process of making peace with the past so we can create new.
Currently, Saturn is stationary in Capricorn and stations direct on Sept. 6, 2018. Saturn represents time, gateways, and thresholds. Over the coming days, there is a sense of time standing still. You’re at the threshold of a whole new chapter – perhaps life.
Saturn stationed retrograde on April 17, 2018, asking for an integration of the lessons you’ve been learning since the beginning of this year. Now Saturn is back at the degree it occupied on Jan. 10, 2018 — look at how far you’ve come. What have you learned? How have you grown? You can’t change the past, but what can you do differently today?
The past months of the retrograde have been a time of strengthening inner foundations and digging deeper for integrity. As Saturn stations direct, there’s a sense that a door that was previously shut is opening; or there is a new way forward where once there was an obstacle.
Today September 2nd marks Krishna Janmashtami – the holy day when Lord Sri Vishnu descended 5200 years ago from the heavens in the form of His beloved avatar, Lord Sri Krishna. This is a sacred time when we can attract the Lord’s Grace by celebrating Sri Krishna’s appearance and performing spiritual practices.”
Vishnu is (part of the holy trinity and) ‘the preserver’ or sustainer of life. Virgo’s energy too — is what sustains and preserves life; without the daily tasks, chores, work, and tending, life would fall apart at the seams. Virgo also rules health and healing on all levels — physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, and selfless service.
Virgo is the opposite end of the axis from Pisces; the vessel for the divine life force. As we move through the Last Quarter and the Moon wanes: ‘clear the clutter’ – mentally, emotionally, physically, psychologically; release what isn’t working, pain, resentments, and trauma you’re healing from. This is a chance to empty yourself, to cultivate and enter deeper into your spiritual practice, so you can reconnect and be filled with the divine life force that sustains you.
Especially on this auspicious day of Krishna Janmashtami — Take the time to meditate, and be grateful for this life. This is a chance to experience heaven on earth, divinity birthing deep within your heart. Life is a gift. Let your life be a gift.
