It’s after midnight as I write this on Dec. 1, 2010 – World AIDS Day. The Moon is in Libra as we head toward a New Moon in Sagittarius at the end of the week on Dec. 5, 2010.

Venus re-entered Scorpio yesterday and sextiles Mercury in Capricorn today, on Dec. 1, 2010. This is extremely constructive and lucrative energy for all conversations, especially those that surround financial and emotional matters within relationships. Be sincere, honest, and fluid in your negotiations, and you can come to mutually satisfying agreements.

As Mercury conjuncts the North Node and Pluto over the coming days, the communication and information that we receive is revealing the path to our destiny. But this means clearing away worn-out perceptions and mental rubble. Dig and dive deep; there are precious treasures lurking beneath the surface.

Meanwhile, Mars is firing up the energy by making plenty of aspects this week, pushing this ‘whole thing’ forward. Mars sextiles Chiron and Neptune on Dec. 2, 2010 and then squares Uranus on Dec. 3, 2010 as Uranus prepares to station direct at the time of the New Moon.

Mars is the planet of action, and Uranus rules the unpredictable; in mutable signs of Sagittarius and Pisces, God alone knows what this aspect could bring. There will definitely be a few outbursts and revelations.

But the sextiles to Neptune and Chiron are softening the energy. And Venus is in Scorpio, asking for deep surrender, which, as I was reminded today, is faith in action rather than passive resignation.

Push through inner boundaries and recognize panic, fear or alarm bells as a signal to stop; take a deep breath and assess the situation wisely before you act. And if you do act before you think, then relax before you panic.

I think it was Dane Rudhyar who once astutely noted that whether consciously or unconsciously, we draw events and people into our lives that are necessary for our inner spiritual growth. In the midst of the chaos, something is offering the ticket to freedom. Look ‘within’ to find a surprising, liberating truth.

Uranus stationing direct at the time of the New Moon heralds positive change, fresh hope and fertile opportunities for business and pleasure. Expect a burst of energy that sets us off on a new journey to explore unknown horizons that we couldn’t have imagined in our wildest dreams…
