It’s a little after midnight (Friday morning) here in India. The Sun is in the last degree of Pisces and the day and coming hours would be best spent soaking in and absorbing the experiences of the past few weeks. As the Sun enters Aries round mid-day on Friday in the UK, poignantly, exactly one minute after Juno conjuncts Chiron in Aquarius.

With Mercury just having passed a difficult opposition to Saturn and approaching a conjunction to Uranus there is no doubt we’ve been having to face up to some hard and cold facts. Avoid jumping into mental judgments of “right” and “wrong” and learn to trust that intuition. There is an awareness pushing its way to the light of day, if we can only get our heads out of the way and open up to it. If we are able to get past the worry and nervousness of how it will all work out and instead reach for something that is sparking within, we are fast approaching a divine breakthrough. Be sensitive bold and honest in all your conversations and you may yet be pleasantly surprised.

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and now as the Sun moves out of Pisces (the sign of cosmic consciousness) into Aries (the sign of self), as Niles so eloquently put it, we are learning to em’body’ the divine and birth a dynamic force of fiery energy into our life. Venus is now retrograde in Aries, asking us what is it that we are trying to attract in our life? God lives and loves ‘through’ you and me. What is the divine energy that your soul was born to experience?

With Juno conjunct Chiron in Aquarius we are learning a few bitter-sweet realizations regarding our relationships. This can be a lesson in self-acceptance which makes accepting another much easier.  Often we hold back from being uniquely ourselves (Aquarius) and breaking free from the norm because we fear being rejected or ostracized for being different. This aspect can manifest in chaos if not dealt with in deep awareness. But even the chaos ultimately has its place as it forces us to go inward and find the unmoving, unchanging core that knows truth.

In Aquarius, this is also about transcending the pain of distances that separate us from a loved one, whether in earthly terms or the painful separation of those who have passed on. We are connecting on a level of soul and any pain we feel now is to push beyond our own realms of understanding, awakening us to the existence of an energy that always keeps us connected, regardless of the physical reality.

Also, be willing to let go of expectations and the need to define a relationship. As long as two people are relating — it is a relationship. Of course it may not fit any known definition but that does not deny the existence of a connection that is pulling you to grow into a higher consciousness of your being — there is a reason the term “growing pains” exists. If we can allow space within our individual growth and see our relationships as a mirror for growth in which healing can happen.

With the Sun in Aries, the emphasis is on understanding the “self” and our role in the creation of the situations and experiences in our life. When it comes to relationships there needs to be an extreme awareness and acceptance of each persons individuality if we are to evolve, grow and find healing from this. As the Sun squares Pluto over the weekend, this is a huge turning point for the soul and an opportunity for deep and real transformation.

If we can let go of expectations of what another is supposed to be doing for us, we can free ourselves from the pain of attachment to outcomes and disappointments if things don’t go our way. This is not to say that this is the end — rather as Juno conjunct Neptune tomorrow — this speaks of a ‘sacred marriage’ that no earthly obstacles can destroy. “And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow. “

This is could be the astrology Khalil Gibran’s soul was speaking of… So here is “The Prophet” on ‘Marriage.’

p.p.s.

As I mentioned I will be flying back to NYC on Monday – so will try to make a quick post before then, if nothing else to say “see you from the other side of the planet,” but this blog covers the astrology for the next few days. More soon.

Then Almitra spoke again and said, “And what of Marriage, master?”

And he answered saying:

You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.

You shall be together when white wings of death scatter your days.

Aye, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.

But let there be spaces in your togetherness,

And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

Love one another but make not a bond of love:

Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.

Fill each other’s cup but drink not from one cup.

Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf.

Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,

Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping.

For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.

And stand together, yet not too near together:

For the pillars of the temple stand apart,

And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.
