Dear Friends,

We’re coming through a rather intense Scorpio season and yesterday marked the Sagittarius New Moon ushering a time of new hope and possibilities.

This lunation occurred at 10+ Sagittarius at 8:22 PM EDT on Dec. 2, 2013 in a trine to Uranus. There are likely to be unexpected developments occurring pushing boundaries, presenting new hope, horizons, options and opportunities for adventure beckoning; calling for a leap of faith.

November brought deep insight into situation, and a time of confronting ones demons consciously. But darkness exists only in the absence of light. Whatever seems to be casting a dark shadow, you can’t fight the darkness, you can only bring in the light of awareness. In clinging to the past, pain or pleasure, we only prevent our own evolutionary journey.

New Moons are a time of seeking inner light, and in Sagittarius, there is deep inner wisdom coming through. As we move further into the New Moon cycle, something that has been a mystery should start to reveal itself.

There is valuable information surfacing and you can expect major revelations by the the time of the Gemini Full Moon in two weeks bringing an important turn of events. Knowledge is power, but the truth is infinite.

Only in admitting you don’t and can never know it all — can you learn and discover what you need to know, or have a “knowing” of something.

Sagittarius represents “God,” spirituality, religion, truth, higher justice, higher law, international travel, psychology, foreign cultures, languages, the higher mind, “beyond boundaries” to name a few. Its symbol too, the centaur, represents man rising above the beast; asking us to evolve to a higher consciousness.

Day and night, are one. In reality, seen from space, these seeming opposites do not exist or exist at the same time. Their separation is merely being an illusion caused by the rotation of the earth. This is the Saggittarian quality of polarization as opposed to the Geminian duality.

Hence the closer you get to the truth, the greater the reaction.  And there may be situations now where no matter how vehemently opposite two points of view are, they both hold a part of the truth. Until one is able to gain perspective, you can’t see the whole picture. You can’t learn to ride a bicycle by reading a book, and it isn’t enough to know the path, you have to walk the path if you want to get anywhere.

And so it is with any situation you now face. Where can you benefit from an expanded vision and perspective? Where can you be more honest with yourself and others, about your desires, needs for freedom, more honesty? Who is walking, the talk?

Also, Venus is currently in her shadow phase preparing to station retrograde on Dec. 21, 2013, days after the Full Moon, bringing an important turn of events. Financial situations and relationships are in a phase of deep evolution now. And we will be recovering this territory two more times between now and March.

Faith can move mountains now. But the key will be finding the right mountain, target, challenge, or goal, worthy of your efforts. Venus will be in Capricorn for five months. And Mars enters Libra on Dec. 7, 2013 and will be in the sign for seven months. Whatever you’re envisioning now in your personal or professional life requires a view to the long term.

But no matter how far it seems you have to go now, every journey begins with a single step. Sagittarius is a reminder that life is a journey of endless exploration, and this journey itself is the destination.

No matter how oppressive a situation has seemed, what one really seeks rather than freedom from any situation, is freedom to be. Honesty will be key, especially honesty with oneself. Then there can be true liberation and recognition that the future is wide open.

Fire Flies

This bonfire was one of the highlights of my weekend. What you can’t see in the video behind the flying sparks, is the midnight night sky studded with stars that shone like diamonds. I titled “fire flies,” and it dawned on me yesterday, this is Sagittarius a fire sign, the sign of “flight,” fire that flies, sacred fire of truth, imagination and inspiration.

You can’t catch this divine fire, you can only be inspired, marveling in awe at its beauty, following its path as it disappears into infinite sky.
