It feels like forever since I last wrote. I am certainly not above the astrology, and as much as my Scorpio Rising hates to talk about “myself,” it’s the most intimate and personal experience I can share with anyone.
With the upcoming Total Solar Eclipse on July 11, 2010 in my 3rd solar house (ruling communication), it does feel like communication has come to a halt. In the past week, I have had my computer and my phone break down, along with feeling mentally depleted. [It’s been near impossible to get a word out.]
But you follow planetary cycles long enough, and astrologically it makes perfect sense. There is method to the madness, and the upcoming New Moon and Eclipse promises a fresh start.
On Thursday in the US and UK, and early Friday morning in Australia, Venus opposes Neptune in Aquarius. Within relationships and creative and financial situations, there may have been a deep sense of fog lately.
But the aspect offers the opportunity for clarity, as long as we are being honest with and not fooling ourselves with any fantasy. This means owning one’s vulnerability and finding self-acceptance first. Then we can have the courage to be ourselves with others.
Also, today is the last day of Mercury in Cancer, and it sextiles Saturn tomorrow just before it leaves the sign. Expect to have a conversation or to learn something that brings deeper understanding of how to stabilize a situation that has long seemed precarious.
Soon after its ingress into Leo tomorrow, Mercury trines Uranus in Aries. Expect new opportunities and information to arrive, opening new doors. It will require courage, but the aspect is asking for confidence, honesty and wisdom in all conversations as we speak our truth. Be imaginative, creative, optimistic and willing to explore a bright idea.
With the Grand Cross culminating over the next two months, we are experiencing a period in time when the world is shifting drastically, radically before our eyes. We may not even be able to comprehend the enormity of these changes until we have gained some hindsight.
There is a greater divine plan unfolding. Jupiter and Uranus in Aries are igniting an awareness of our personal desires. But as Saturn moves into Libra, we are learning to balance our needs with the needs of others in our lives.
We are also learning to let go of guilt. We grow up being taught “right” from “wrong.” Depending upon the societal, cultural and parental conditioning we received in childhood, often having “desire” itself is considered taboo or selfish.
Pluto in Capricorn is steadily asking for a breakdown of parental and societal conditioning. The transits are asking us to become responsible adults and citizens while we rediscover a childlike essence and integrity with the support of maturity and fearlessness, rather than rebellion for the sake of it.
All relationships require a balance of give and take. These Cancer-Capricorn Eclipses are triggering the Grand Cross and asking us to learn to find the lessons of cooperation, sensitivity and healthy boundaries as we make these changes.
Cancer rules ‘mothers’ and the energy that represents nourishment on all levels: physical, psychological and emotional. As we approach the New Moon and Eclipse, there can be the tendency to feel moody, crabby or anxious about the upcoming changes. But be fluid and rise above your insecurities. This is an opportunity to learn one’s own depth in the face of changes.
New Moons mark beginnings, and with Mars in Virgo forming a sextile to the lunation, look at what energy you are feeding into a situation; that is what you will get out of it. Rather than trying to force any issue, gently and steadily release past emotional baggage and residual emotions as you work toward healing.
I’ll be back on the blog in a day or two with the New Moon report. In the meanwhile, I’ll be here writing, available on email and for Astrology Consultations. Please email me at priya@priyakale.com for more information or to schedule a session.
With Love,
