Happy Diwali and Scorpio New Moon!

At 3:56 PM EDT on Oct. 26, 2011, the Sun and Moon will conjunct at 3+ Scorpio with Juno in close conjunction.

This New Moon coincides with the festival of Diwali in the Hindu Lunar calendar, marking the New Year. (Here’s last year’s Blog written at the time of the Scorpio New Moon explaining the significance of Diwali – the Festival of Lights).

Scorpio season and especially the New Moon marks a letting go of the past and what is dying to resurrect as we discover the eternal light within. As Jung once said “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will control your life and you will call it fate.”

This lunation suggests we are merging energy and resources on a deep level. Relationships are heating up, moving to deeper levels of intimacy and changing on a deep level. There is likely something very seductive and mysterious beckoning, but it will require courage to go deeper.

Acknowledge your desires as well as fears and don’t be afraid to get to the root of an issue or painful emotion. In consciously facing our demons and acknowledging our darkness, attachments to painful patterns, resentment, pain, anger, jealousy, pride, fear we can release emotional baggage to uncover a deeper unchanging truth within.

No matter what feels like the end this New Moon in Scorpio, suggests there is something rather fertile birthing in the shadows of the past — especially withing financial situations and deep intimate relationships.

The times just before and after a New Moon are the most powerful times to make a wish or to seed your intention for a new cycle. With Scorpio especially since so much is changing and out of our control, the only thing in your power are your intentions.

Seed this cycle with your purest intentions, follow your deepest intuition, trust your most hopeful, creative vision and surrender. Then watch the magic unfurl…
