The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and stars were the gifts you gave
To the dark and the empty skies, my love
To the dark and the empty skies

Human beings can acquire a certain solitude, even in the middle of New York City. It’s rather easier, as a matter of fact, to find solitude in New York City than it is in Des Moines, Iowa.
The point is that a human represents a certain kind of development, wherein a maximal sense of his oneness with the whole universe goes hand in hand with the maximum development of his personality as somebody unique and different. — Alan Watts

Dear Friends,
We are now under the energy of a bright, bold, bodacious Leo Full Moon igniting passion, inflaming fears and desire…
Love, creativity and one’s sexuality, all ruled by Leo, are the inner most expression of one’s being. Leo also rules the element of spontaneity, fun, the “eternal now”. The feeling of being wrapped up in a lovers arms on an endless summer night; where time ceases to exist and two hearts beat as one. Or where one is able to channel inspiration and create with abandon for the sheer joy of it, with no thought of how it will be received. These are some of the purest expressions of the the Leo-Aquarius axis.
But Leo also represents the “self” and the ego, which needs to be validated and appreciated. No one likes rejection, but very often it is ego and fear that stand in the way of being bold and liberated enough to express and experience one’s true passion.
The Sun is in Aquarius now, a reminder that, this begins with self-acceptance of one’s own desires and being. Something may feel like huge risk but as long as one remains detached to an outcome or external validation, we can be free to reach to let our inner light shine and reach for what or who sets our heart on fire.
On Jan. 30
Love,
Priya
p.s.
With the Full Moon in in 10th house, my hard drive crashed this weekend – taking with it about 2 months of work that I had done for the 2013 Annual Horoscopes. The laptop is with the service center right now as they run diagnostics and try to recover my data. I’m doing my best to be detached about it — but needless to say I won’t breathe easy until I have my data back, so please pray and keep your fingers crossed for me.

“And the end of the month brings us to a definitive turning point in our journey since Saturn first entered Scorpio in early October.
“Now, Mercury squares Saturn in Scorpio on Jan. 25, 2013, followed by the Leo Full Moon on Jan. 27, 2013, followed by Jupiter’s direct station and the Sun’s square to Saturn at the end of the month on Jan. 30, 2013. It’s interesting to note that Jupiter stationed retrograde on Oct. 4, 2013 only two days before Saturn’s ingress into Scorpio.
“Jupiter’s retrograde period has asked for us to listen to an inner wisdom that came through loud and clear. Now as Jupiter stations direct the time has come to embody this. Then we can look at something with a more detached understanding, maturity, objectivity and sense of perspective. Now as Jupiter stations direct, and the Sun reaches its first square to Saturn in Scorpio we are turning a corner with situations that began to develop then.
“This Leo Full Moon could get rather dramatic, with passion rising. We can’t please all people all of the time. But the Full Moon is reflecting the need for self-acceptance and acknowledging one’s inner passions and desires. The Sun in Aquarius is a reminder that “no man is an island” and there is a need to integrate into the collective and learn to build and live in a society that celebrates each others differences, freedom and individuality. Liberation begins with self-acceptance.
“As we channel a more crystal clear awareness and consciousness we can embody it (Sun) in our words (Mercury) actions and deeds (Mars.) Aquarius rules the “Star” in the Tarot, that pictures a woman channeling stars from the heavens [cosmic inspiration and divine spirit] in an earthen vessel [the body,] which she pours back into a pool at her feet [creating her Universe here on earth.]”
