Dearly beloved
We are gathered here today
to get through this thing called life
Electric word life
It means forever and that’s a mighty long time
But I’m here to tell you
There’s something else
The afterworld
A world of never ending happiness
You can always see the sun, day or night
— Prince, Let’s Go Crazy
—
Little red Corvette
Baby you’re much too fast
Little red Corvette
You need to find a love that’s gonna last
Little red Corvette
Honey you got to slow down (Got to slow down)
Little red Corvette
‘Cause if you don’t you gonna run your
Little red Corvette right in the ground

NOTE : I wrote this article, yesterday as the Full Moon was peaking. In honor of Prince, a Gemini, here are two songs that sing the energy of this Scorpio Full Moon.

Dearly Beloveds,
Here we are at the Scorpio Full Moon, with the Sun in Taurus; a recently retrograded Mars in Sagittarius, Venus approaching an exact conjunction to Uranus, and Mercury slowing down to a halt in Taurus.
Taurus is an earth sign, Scorpio a water sign — this is passionate, fertile, sensual, sexual, and alchemical energy likely to bring sudden revelations, developments, mysterious encounters, flashes of creative brilliance, perhaps returning lovers; offering the potential to rediscover and resurrect passion, life even in the coldest, darkest hearts, and landscapes.
The Scorpio Full Moon is highlighting your deepest commitments — emotional, physical, sexual, financial, blood, and those that go beyond life and death — which are evolving deeply.
Over the coming days and two weeks, rather than to try to rush, push, or control anything, especially your emotions — this energy calls for patience and surrender.
Taurus-Scorpio is the most powerful axis of the zodiac. It’s where energy merges on the deepest level, where the immovable object meets the irresistible force, worlds collide and two become one. It holds and reveals the eternal mysteries of life and death, the birds and the bees, surrender that leads an experience of orgasmic ecstasy and divine bliss.
Taurus represents life, physical energy, money, income, your values, possessions, commitments, your body, the senses — it is a very tactile sign. Scorpio rules, death, resurrection, regeneration, metamorphosis, sex, death, taxed, shared resources, business transactions, inheritances, your spouse, blood lines, money gained from one’s spouse, where you share energy on the deepest level.
With Venus (ruler of the Taurus Sun) approaching an exact conjunction to Uranus on Friday — expect the unexpected. There are sudden changes and developments unfolding, and the fewer expectations you have, the greater there can be a sense of a breakthrough, bringing a potentially profitable discovery.
This could be a blast from the past — perhaps a lover, or someone or something returning to your life. Or there might be secret and hidden desires surfacing, and deep emotions welling up in the light of what you’re learning — especially in relationships where sex and money are involved.
With Mars is slowly retracing its steps, the Full Moon in Scorpio and Sun in Taurus — avoid your fight or flight response, and slow down. Especially if something triggers you, avoid jumping to conclusions, loosing your cool or try to control something.
Mars (ruler of Scorpio) is retrograde in Sagittarius, asking you to be very honest with yourself and in no denial, of what within you needs to change and be released; especially any attachment to a particular outcome. Get real with yourself first — about your desires, feelings and what you want. Then you can be honest with others about where you stand, without projecting expectations.
Ultimately whether it’s anger, pain, desire, lust or passion, all emotions are “energy” — which needs to be released consciously with awareness; so it isn’t a destructive or self-destructive force. This is the chance to rise above the primal instinct and release heavier emotions, so you can make conscious choices and bring about constructive change.
It is the fear of intimacy, based on past experiences that keeps us from deepening and experiencing love and connections more wholly in the present. People have a harder time talking about sex, than actually having sex. It’s a more vulnerable feeling to bare your soul, than your body. But if you are able to — a sexual union, is elevated to a divine experience of a sacred union that goes beyond earthly ties and definitions of a relationship, or security.
People are not something we can possess and own. You cannot force or make anyone feel something they don’t, nor can you try to change anyone else. The Venus-Uranus conjunction speaks of a liberated, awakened love.
Be detached yet present, and let go of clinging. If there is anything you need, ask; then let go of expectations and pay attention to who shows up. The more freedom you can offer others, the more you can strengthen your connections, allow things to evolve naturally, and blossom. Only love is real, and it is the force that survives even death. As Dr. Maya Angelou once said — “true love liberates.”
With the Moon in Scorpio, if you’re feeling scarcity whether emotionally or materially, this is a chance to release the sense of lack and return to an awareness of what’s real.
Start by grounding yourself in your surroundings — touch something solid, feel the earth beneath your feet, nourish the body, eat good food, surround yourself or reach out to people you love and who love you, take a warm bath and get plenty of rest. Everything feels better when you are well rested.
This comes back to Taurus — your values and self-esteem. What do you value? In your life and your commitments? What do you need to feel secure — emotionally and financially? Most importantly how do you value yourself?
The Sun in Taurus suggests, you have the resources you need. Even if you don’t think you have enough “money” — your skills, intelligence, talents, ability to work hard, share love — all are your resources.
Taurus is very creative, resourceful energy, it’s a matter of using what you have, to create more of what you need. Especially with the Venus-Uranus conjunction this asks for innovation and a pioneering spirit.
Used wisely, your resources can be a catalyst and force for great change in the world; and your world. Same goes for love. Keep your heart open. Love shared is love multiplied. And love is your very being, not something you have or need. When you value yourself, you can attract the kind of relationships that truly value you, for who you are at your core.
Also, as this lunation aligns, Mercury is stationing to a halt, as it prepares to station retrograde on April 28, 2016 at 22+ degrees of Taurus. Over the coming days, and week, expect more information to surface, bringing a general slowing down of situations and communication.
If you have travel plans, or important purchases to make, I’d advise you to take care of that before Mercury’s retrograde station — sooner rather than later. Also, this is a reminder that nothing is carved in stone at the moment. Patience will be key — be flexible rather than too stubborn or fixed in your opinions and beliefs, and keep open lines of communication.
There’s a lot you don’t know and have yet to learn. Your word is your worth, so better to go slow, rather than over commit and then have to back-track. We’re drawing rough outlines, that we can sharpen to get a clearer image as the weeks progress.
Full Moon’s bring completion, revelation, closure and release of the past. But every ending is a new beginning and especially in Scorpio, there is deep transformation taking place beneath the surface. The Taurus-Scorpio axis reminds us that only change is constant. Even the earth is constantly turning, trees growing, flowers blossoming, seasons changing — but the process of change happens so gradually, its invisible, like Scorpio.
Over the next two weeks, release emotional baggage that prevents you from living and loving more deeply in the present. Weed out the garden of your life and let go of the stuff you don’t need — metaphorically, physically, emotionally. Then you can plant new seeds, make room for new growth, and abundance with the Taurus New Moon two weeks from now.
Perhaps one of the greatest lessons and secrets of Taurus and Scorpio is the awareness that neither death nor life are in our control. We have no control over when we are born, no control over when we die, only have the illusion of control in between. Life is transient, fragile and fleeting — that is what makes these fleeting moments in the flesh so precious.
The body dies, matter is transformed — but it can never be destroyed. Life and love, are indestructible — this is our essence. And in a deep surrender to the mystery of life, in merging with it, there can be an orgasmic experience of one’s true immortal being and of transcendence while still in the flesh.
With love from California,
Priya
