Today the Moon is moving through Taurus the sign of it’s exaltation, applying in a trine to Pluto, Mercury, the Sun and Venus in Capricorn.

Trines are “easy” aspects, opening up a flow of energy and in earth signs this can be stabilizing. But to get the most out of them, a little effort goes a long way. Kind of like pushing a boulder up a hill to let it roll down, gaining momentum.

When a planet is “exalted” – it allows for the best qualities of the planet and the sign to manifest.

In Taurus the ever-changing emotions (Moon) find grounding and stability. While the earthy Taurus, which can get stuck, benefits from the fluidity and watery energy of the Moon making it a fertile landscape for new life and growth.

As the Moon moves through Taurus between the next two days — there is a sense of something being a diamond in the rough. But it takes special eyes to see the value in something.

Ground yourself in your values and recognize what is truly in important in a situation, beyond just the surface and the material. Then you can let go of all that is dead-weight and does not serve your deepest purpose, integrity and highest goals.

Taurus also has the quality of inertia. A little effort will go a long way towards helping you gain momentum you need towards your goals. Slow and steady wins the race but, as Taurus well knows the real secret to success is, there is no “race.” Nurture what is important, valuable and give it your best. Then let nature take its course, knowing your efforts will bear fruit.
