Happy Diwali and Happy New Year everyone!

I returned to Mumbai from Jaipur Tuesday and stayed up late at night watching the Total Solar Eclipse via Nasa’s live feed online. It was breathtaking to say the least, to watch the Sun disappear and reappear behind a perfect ‘diamond ring’ and I couldn’t help but reflect on the transience of life on earth, which is certainly a Scorpio theme.

This Scorpio New Moon and Total Solar Eclipse is ushering us into an extremely potent new cycle drawing us closer to our destiny. Just as the Moon wiped out the disk of the Sun, in our lives too we are being given a clean slate in certain situations. But before every beginning comes an end and this is especially true of Scorpio — the planet that rules evolution and life, death and re-birth.

With Mercury retrograde there is still unfinished business to be taken care of. But as we sow, so shall we reap. With consciousness we can break patterns and release negativity, so we can truly begin anew.

Here is an excerpt from this month’s Eclipse report sent out to Subscribers. “Also at the time of the Eclipse Mercury in Sagittarius squares Neptune in Pisces. Watch for projection and those with a more insidious agenda. There is a greater truth than the one you are being told. So be in no denial either. Squares ask for an inner resolution, especially with Mercury retrograde seek an inner truth. All the answers to all the questions in the Universe are within you, we just have to tune in to listen.”

This energy reaches a peak on Nov. 17, 2012 when the Sun and retrograde Mercury make an inferior conjunction with each other and a triple conjunction with the North Node. Pay special attention to what is unfolding now and over the next two weeks. This is a message from our destiny. Ideas, insights and conversations you are having now are likely to be deeply foretelling and can bring a deeper understanding of a situation that you’ve felt in the dark about.

This aspect feels like shining a light in the darkness, piercing the veil of perception to discover a deeper hidden truth. This may naturally reveal not so pleasant truths and reality. But only in confronting and acknowledging something honestly, can we clear it up and consciously create a new reality.

We are merging with others on a deep level and relationships are undergoing a profound transformation. Scorpio represents a deep exchange of energy  — financial, emotional, hereditary, sexual and shared values. What are the commitments in your life that you most value? And why?
