We are still in the womb of the New Moon in Virgo. This was a tough one, in conjunction to Saturn bringing us to the test. There may have been heavy nervous energy over riding this time. Saturn’s energy can be a parent like — asking us to learn the lessons well. We may not appreciate it now, but ultimately it is for our own good.

On Sunday, Sep. 20, 2009 Mercury conjuncts the Sun in its retrograde phase, stirring the mind. We can reach an inner understanding about our own sense of purpose, integrity and needs for healing. Try to release critical energy as much as possible and avoid over-analyzing a situation. We are at the start of a powerful new cycle, suggesting with dedication and devotion we can make any dream bloom.

Shortly after the Sun-Mercury conjunction, Venus ingresses Virgo. Financial and relationship matters are moving into another phase with this shift. As Venus passed through Leo, she brought us lessons of seizing life’s transient moments of pleasure. Love and opportunity knocks softly and can only be heard with an open heart.

There may have been painful lessons to learn recently with her opposition to the triple conjunction in Aquarius last week. In Leo this brought to the forefront our wounded pride and ego, with a deep look in the mirror. At best there has been an evolution to a higher awareness of the heart and how it longs to just be free to express itself. Rather than focus on the object of ones desire this has been teaching us to just focus on releasing and experiencing this energy by living and loving in the moment.

Now as she enters Virgo, there is a chance to heal some of those wounds. Soon after her ingress [late Sunday on the East Coast of the US, overnight in the UK and on Monday in Australia] she will trine Pluto in Capricorn suggesting there could be deep healing and resurrection if we seek it. With trines, a little effort goes a long way. The tendency may be to be critical and feel like something is out of our reach.

Pluto’s energy is subconscious and can be seem daunting — inviting us into the mysterious and unknown. It calls for a total surrender, no ifs, ands or buts. What keeps us from doing this willingly is only a fear of the unknown, but this is the story of the caterpillar and the butterfly.

Relationships, financial and creative situations stand to benefit from this aspect if we can let go of criticism and work towards evolving to a new level of understanding. Healing and forgiveness go hand in hand and we can never give to another what we cannot give to ourselves. Financially, creatively and emotionally a little effort in getting organized could have us reaping big rewards.

Also on Monday the Sun opposes Juno putting the focus on relationships again. We can be most critical with those we love the most expecting perfection. What we really want though is just to feel heard and understood. Give now selflessly to that which heals and soothes you. The energy is pulling us towards discovering a devoted kind of love, that can make a rare flower bloom even on the highest mountain.
