We’re officially in the new astrological year. The recent Aries New Moon occurred on Mar. 27, 2017, and we’re past the First Quarter of the Moon, with the Moon currently transiting through Leo.

This is a big week and month: time is standing still, just before the tide turns.

Mercury stations retrograde in Taurus (also ruled by Venus) on April 6, 2017 (till May 3, 2017).

Saturn stations retrograde in Sagittarius on April 9, 2017 (till Aug. 25, 2017); leading to the Libra Full Moon on April 11, followed by Venus’ direct station on April 15, 2017.

With the Sun in Aries, Full Moon in Libra, and Venus (ruler of Libra) making aspects and stationing direct this month: relationships are the flavor of the month — starting with your relationship with yourself; which colours all your relationships — personal, business, creative, and all interactions.

Venus has been retrograde in Aries for the past month; she retrograded back into Pisces on April 2, 2017. Her retrograde marks a phase of deep re-evaluation of relationships, financial, creative, and personal situations, matters of the heart and, really, of your values; and the upcoming Libra Full Moon marks a culmination of this process.

There are major revelations coming through revealing deeper potential, as well as ‘dirt’, bringing you to a cross-roads offering a chance for course correction. There are difficult choices to be made, but be conscious not to jump to conclusions too quickly for better or worse, and be patient as more comes to light.

All through April, Venus is in a square to Saturn — making two exact aspects on April 8, 2017 (when is Venus Rx and Saturn is direct) days before the Libra Full Moon, and then on April 21, 2017 (with Venus direct and Saturn Rx).

‘Spring cleaning’ is definitely on the menu. You’re learning truths about yourself, your desires, and others. Situations are still very malleable, not yet cast in stone, and it’s not too late to turn around.

The Full Moon marks the end of a chapter; but every end is a new beginning and the squares mark a turning point suggesting you can clean up a “mess” — emotionally, psychologically, literally, or metaphorically — and shift something that has impeded your progress.

It begins with piercing honesty with yourself first about what and whom you truly value — and how you value yourself. Any denial will delay your progress, cause you to repeat patterns, or get caught in a spiral that causes unnecessary stress and heartache.

This is a necessary process of re- balancing, re-structuring and re-adjusting boundaries in an area of your life, finances, and/or relationships, so they are mutually supportive rather than a ball and chain.

You can’t escape Saturn, fate, or your heart.

Over the coming months, Saturn’s retrograde phase is a last chance (for the next 30 years) to learn of the lessons of Saturn in Sagittarius and realign with your inner compass and integrity, before you graduate to the next chapter of your life as Saturn enters Capricorn at the end of December.

A goal is in sight. If you are committed and dedicated, you can get there no matter how many twists and turns your journey takes. Now more than ever, Saturn moves through Sagittarius into it’s home sign Capricorn — the journey IS the destination.

As William Shakespeare once wrote and the Libra Full Moon is about to reveal: “the course of true love never did run smooth.”

On a personal note, the recent Aries New Moon was in my 12th House and I’m just about returning to earth after a surreal, magical, blissful week in California with my Guru, and a spontaneous road-trip on Route 66 (a childhood dream) on my way back to NY.
