Welcome to the Capricorn New Moon!
The Capricorn New Moon occurs on Jan 16, 2018 at 9:17 PM EST marking a new cycle, and perhaps the most powerful lunation and of the next two and half years, as we begin this new chapter of Saturn in Capricorn.
At the time of the lunation we have a stellium in Capricorn — Saturn, Mercury, Pluto, the Sun, Moon, and Venus. What’s unfolding is serious business: the potential is immense and stakes are high. And just to keep us on our toes, the lunation squares Uranus in Aries, bringing surprising developments, and opening new doors over the coming two weeks.
We’re also officially in Eclipse season with the first Leo Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse just two weeks away on Jan. 31, 2018. Eclipses bring accelerated changes, fated events, and mark a period when life tends to speed up. They also set in motion patterns that carry us over at least for a period of six months, if not longer.
Your entire life has led up to this moment, and there’s a sense of standing in the valley at the base of the mountain, before we begin the climb up. This lunation is a reality check, asking that you take responsibility for your life — all that has been, all that is, and all that will be. As you move through the coming two weeks, you’re learning now more than ever: your authority, power, and responsibility as the creator of your life. (More on this below.)
Capricorn is the third earth sign; it is material energy in its most evolved and refined state. It is the sign of worldly success; authority and authority figures, structure, businesses, corporations, government, institutions, among other things — highlighting these themes personally, collectively, and globally. It represents the peaks of achievement of a human being, and humanity as a race.
It also speaks of integrity, a greater cause, something that serves humanity at large, and a greater purpose than just the individual. What is the purpose of life, if you can’t give back? What and who are you serving? What are your highest and noblest ambitions and goals? What will matter after you are dead and gone? And will you have left this world a better place, through your being?
New Moon’s are time to set intentions, a time of initiation — and you’re planting seeds in the area of your life ruled by Capricorn. Don’t underestimate the potential of something that seems like a germ of an idea. Even the oak tree was once an acorn, and there’s no mountain too high.
You can climb any mountain you choose, what matters is that you’re reaching for what you desire, and goals that matter to you — not based society, your parents, cultural conditioning, or what you think is expected of you. Also, be realistic about the time it will take to manifest something; with dedication, determination, devotion, commitment, you can get to the top.
Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) ingressed Capricorn (its home sign) on Dec. 20, 2018; and we’ve been in a process of surveying this new territory we find ourselves in, since then. You’ve seen all that glitters is not gold. This is the first New Moon since Saturn’s ingress in the sign, seeding the coming transit — asking you to make wise, conscious choices of where you feed and invest your time, love, money, and energy — in your work, life, and relationships.
This not about the expectation of a reward, but rather, if you’re working towards something that means something to you — the rewards will far outweigh the efforts. And the real reward is the fulfillment you get in the act of living your truth and purpose.
Whatever you do, do it with love and if you love what you do, you won’t have to work a day in your life — these words have never been more true than now.
My Guru says the sole purpose of human life is enlightenment. We can take our time, (perhaps life-times) to realise this truth, but all roads ultimately lead to that one destination, to that one peak of consciousness and embodiment of a divine truth — this is Capricorn. The Universe is a complex organism and we are but one cell in the greater whole, a drop in the divine cosmic ocean — manifest on a material earthly plane.
Also — this is the Cancer end of the Cancer-Capricorn axis, asking that we don’t become so fixated on our goals, that we lose our ability to empathise and connect with others. The higher one climbs the more perilous the journey, and the greater the fall. Stay true to your integrity, without that you’re on a slippery slope; and you never know who you will meet again on your journey to the top.
It can get lonely at the top if you don’t nurture your relationships along the way. All the success in the world would mean nothing if you didn’t have people you loved to share it with — this is the Cancer-Capricorn axis. None of us are totally independent, we are not alone, we are all one; and relationships at best are interdependent — not co-dependent.
With the stellium in Capricorn, and the New Moon in conjunction to Venus in Capricorn, this is a rich, fertile energy, laden with precious golden potential. Relationships are highlighted — business, financial, and personal — and there are deep commitments taking root, asking for mutual respect, love, honest, maturity, and to allow time to work its magic.
Venus in Capricorn suggests the love, and investments you make now can grow and flourish over time, so choose wisely based on who and what is supportive and shares your goals in life… READ FULL REPORT.
