Happy Mother’s Day!

The Moon is in Cancer in time for the occasion, making the day a rather emotional one, especially for those who miss their mothers.

As I write this, the Moon is in a sextile to the Sun, giving easy access and grounding to our emotions. But over the course of the day (Sunday in the US), the Moon squares Venus, Mercury, Jupiter and Mars; this is likely bringing deep, hot emotions to the surface. Acknowledge your feelings and desires rather than fighting them.

This week we have a rather auspicious conjunction between Mercury, Venus and Jupiter on May 11, 2011, the same day as when Mars enters Taurus and sextiles Neptune in Pisces.

When planets come together in a conjunction, their energy fuses together. Venus and Jupiter are considered two of the most benevolent influences in the Universe, and the conjunction with Mercury in Aries can make this a hugely expansive time for all conversations and negotiations surrounding love and money.

Mars’ ingress in Taurus is fueling sensual passion and desire. With resourcefulness, creativity, fluidity, perseverance and determination, there is every potential to manifest a dream into reality.

Also on May 11, 2011, Mercury moves out of shadow phase and into new territory for the first time in 6 weeks. Mercury stationed retrograde on March 31, 2011, and things may seem to have taken a backward turn at the time.

But Mercury’s recent retrograde phase in Aries has been an important re-identification process, asking us to get in touch with our true desires and whom we are at the core.

Where there was once self-doubt, now there may be a feeling of elation — stay focused and grounded, and you won’t trip up. Be wise and confident as you seize an opportunity that could greatly warm your heart.
