A warm hello on the eve of this powerful Solar Eclipse which takes place at 2:55 AM EST at 6+ degrees of the sign. People all over the world also celebrate the Chinese New Year which begins each year on the Aquarius New Moon, in essence this truly is when 2009 begins…

There is a grand stellium building in Aquarius and I will be back tomorrow with the Eclipse report, but in the meanwhile it may be helpful to re-read the January Monthly Horoscope and see how things are unfolding, since I wrote those for the current Eclipse chart.

Also as you know I’ve been working on the 2009 Horoscopes and am happy to announce I am done with about 45,000 words of writing. Its a little after 4PM here in New York, the Moon is in Aquarius in it’s extreme waning phase. It feels like holding we’re holding our breath waiting to exhale. Take a deep breath… this is Aquarius the “awakener,” the sign of the collective consciousness, the sign opposite Leo representing ego and “the self.”

Leo rules the heart, Aquarius speaks of detachment and perhaps that is being what is being asked of us right now, but I think “detachment” is a greatly misunderstood word. People take it to be the opposite of the Leo energy of opening your heart means “closing off the heart” and being “detached.” It is not emotional detachment that is needed rather a a detachment from one’s ego responses — be they reacting to insecurities by being defensive or allowing past hurts to stand in the way of future happiness. We unconsciously hurt the ones we love, like wounded animals we claw and hurt anyone who tries to get close to us.

Any pain or rejection we feel is not felt by the heart, but by the ego – it is the ego that hurts and causes pain. The heart never breaks; when the ego dies it only sets the heart “free” from its cage… This is the “freedom” we seek in Aquarius, the freedom to love without pain, to be able to break through defenses and connect on a soul level…

It is possible to be deeply connected with another in “oneness,” without needing to “hold on,” knowing that at the end of the day — only love is real. That is collective consciousness when we can recognize another’s humanity as our own – when love can exist beyond our blood or marital or societal relationships…  When we can connect with someone — for God alone knows what reason other than something we don’t understand with our rational minds.

Uranus energy is transcendental, in that it truly transcends the boundaries between the physical world (Saturn) and the ethereal world (Neptune.) This is a truly truly powerful time for release of the past so the future can rush in. We can now make connections with people who share a soul mission but we have to be open and receptive to it. The Universe is a wonderful teacher and will tend to bring us the same lessons until we get them.

What ever you are going through — whether you see it as good or bad, has a very specific message for you in this moment. The Universe IS trying to tell you something, but she speaks in mysterious ways and tests our faith and trust. If you find yourself in a place you never want to be again, ask yourself — “What do I need to learn from this so I never have to be here again?” The answer will NOT be a rational one, this is pushing us break through the boundaries for a higher consciousness to awaken. We can break and make new patterns right now that will take us forward at least 6 months, so make a wish and make it good…

For now as we head into this transcendental night, take a deep breath, let it all go and empty your-self. I pray for divine wisdom for ‘one’ and all… “Don’t burn the day…”
