Day Zero…

We are now well into the energy of the Eclipse and we have one more Lunar Eclipse to go in this season. But a lot could happen in these next two weeks, so don’t underestimate the power of this climate to work its magic.

This will also bring us grand finale to events that began unfolding with first set of Leo-Aquarius Eclipses starting in Jan-Feb 2008. Look at how far you’ve come in the area of your life ruled by these signs and see what has emerged. Then look at what has been going on for the past two weeks with the Cancer-Capricorn Eclipses, this is the beginning of a longer 18 month cycle as the Nodes shift to this axis later in the week.

Now, the Moon is half-way through Leo as I write this and the Sun has just passed it’s conjunction to the South Node. The Nodes of the Moon are highly sensitive ‘karmic’ points in a chart and the South Node is the point of release of the past. Letting go can be a painful thing and if things have been difficult it may feel like having the life force sucked out.

After all the Sun is about core life giving energy. As the new Eclipsed Sun moves through Leo now, if we are able to consciously clear residual, ego based insecurities, we can move forth to manifest soul potential. As my Scorpio brother said to me today… “I feel like it’s Day Zero…”

Here is an excerpt from Painted Soul today —

“In darkness we are forced to surrender (not resign) our familiar and comfortable sense of the clock, our known spaces, and what we think we know about healing. As a Scorpio, I feel at home in the dark (most times that is). I have learned, unlearned and am relearning that in the darkness of my heart and soul, I need to allow the eyes of my soul to readjust to the inner landscape. This is the metaphor for understanding healing as an act of darkness.

“Healing occurs in the dark after, and only after, our spiritual and soulful eyes have acclimated to our darkness, our shadows and wounds. It is a pain in the ass to learn this lesson: Darkness is necessary for healing to occur, for without darkness there is no light and without light there are no shadows.”
