God Bless us all… Sun conjunct Mercury, Sagittarius Moon

“We chose hope over fear…”

— President Barack Obama, Jan 20, 2009

I’m sitting here watching history unfold on my TV screen like millions, no, billions all over the world. In exactly 11 minutes President Elect Barack Obama will be sworn in as the 44th President of the United States.

People say they never thought this day would arrive, but truthfully I knew this day was coming since I first heard his speech in 2004. I have never been politically inclined or motivated; the word “politics” itself gives me hives but I know ‘truth’ when I hear it — and to me this man speaks truth.

A true Leo with Aquarius rising, he won this election not by a vote count but the number of hearts he won over. That to me, is the sign a great leader and I say the best is yet to come.

With the Sun conjunct a retrograde Mercury on this day, the speech the President makes today is likely to give us a deep crystallized vision to reflect on. A Sagittarius Moon is telling of the sense of hope and optimism that abounds and we are only a week away from a powerful eclipse in Aquarius, which incidentally will be close to his Ascendant.

Anybody’s guess is as good as mine as to what the future will bring us but from where I sit — today feels like a sun-kissed moment in time. I am about to start crying any minute now, so will catch you later…

God Bless us ALL!
