Happy Diwali everyone!

We’re entering a very powerful, auspicious and transformational Scorpio season, starting with a New Moon and Partial Solar Eclipse in Scorpio at 0+ degrees, with Venus in a triple conjunction.

But before I get into the Astrology there are I wanted to make a couple of important announcements:

Note about SOTA Conference Oct. 23 – Oct. 26, 2014 — I am heading to Niagara Falls, NY to attend the SOTA Conference, where I will be speaking at the Open Forum. There is a chance, that I will visit the Toronto area for a couple of days after the conference. So if you are interested in scheduling a reading please contact me at the earliest.

Also, while at SOTA, I will be speaking at the Open Forum; my topic is “East meets West,” where we will explore Vedic mythology and symbolism, as it relates and corresponds with the Tropical Western Zodiac. So if you live in the area, I hope you can make it. It would be lovely to see you.

And now back to the astrology —

As I write this, the Sun and Venus are in the final days of Libra, and the Moon is in Libra, in its Dark Moon or extreme waning phase, all planets changing signs in the next two days.

On Oct. 23, 2014 the Sun, followed by Venus and then the Moon enter Scorpio, meeting in a triple conjunction, marking the Scorpio New Moon and Partial Solar Eclipse at 5:56 PM EDT.

This is extremely fertile energy. But for now go inward to release the past and emotional baggage, so you can renew and re-birth.

The day of the Scorpio New Moon (each year) marks Lakshmi Pujan, one of the most auspicious days of the year when we invite and pray to Goddess Lakshmi (Venus) to bless our homes and hearts, with her grace and gifts of prosperity and abundance for the coming year.

This year especially, with a Partial Solar Eclipse with Venus, Goddess Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth, prosperity and beauty, the energy speaks of a deep metamorphosis for relationships, financial situations and all matters of the heart. So don’t underestimate the power of her grace. The evening of the New Moon, light a few candles, oil lamps or lights, say a prayer and invite her, her blessings into your heart, home and life.

Also today, marks Dhantrayodashi or Dhanteras the first day of the very auspicious season of Diwali — the Hindu festival of lights. Tomorrow, the day before the New Moon marks Narak Chaturdashi, and the day after the New Moon marks Padwa — the New Year. Time permitting I will record a little video today on the significance of this deeply auspicious season.

The past two weeks since the Lunar Eclipse in Aries, have changed everything. And as we move into this new cycle, there are powerful changes sweeping in. Mercury stations direct in Libra on Oct. 25, 2014, followed by a Sun-Venus conjunction on Oct. 26, 2014 the same day as Mars changes signs to ingress Capricorn, you will see a story is far from over and or written…

But now as the Moon moves through Libra, with the Sun in it’s final days of Libra, it will trigger the Grand Cross, so there could be last minute changes of plans, sudden developments or insights coming through, an ‘Aha’ moment.

I have to note — not everyone is coasting through this energy, people are struggling. But if something throws you for a loop, take a deep breath, before you panic or do something self-destructive. Right now, you’d be fighting shadows. Instead find a way to release, channel, balance your emotions, before you dive deeper into Scorpio waters and the plot thickens…

Then you can make conscious choices of where you want to invest your energy, where you want to enter deeper and how deeply you want invite someone into your world. And now might be a helpful time to watch the Mars-Saturn conjunction videos, I and II.

On a last personal note – as a Taurus, with Scorpio rising, I always feel this season of change more profoundly. Ever since Saturn entered Scorpio, I’ve had to slow down, evolve and restructure my life in alignment with who I am today, who I am becoming, while returning me to my core self.

And now as Saturn approaches my Ascendant; and Uranus is conjunct my two chart rulers Venus and Mars as we near this Eclipse, I feel the weight of Saturn, even as I’m bursting with ideas — like herding cattle while they’re trying to jump over the Moon. I’m aware, what I envision, will take time and resources to manifest.

But hopefully with the Universe and your support — as I have seen time and time again — anything is possible. So watch this space for more after the Eclipse…
