Jupiter conjuncts Uranus at 0+ Aries; Mars in Virgo; Mercury trines Saturn and squares Neptune

Today Jupiter conjuncts Uranus at 0+ Aries, unleashing wild opportunities for those who dare to seize them.

Jupiter-Uranus conjunctions occur one every 13-14 years. They tend to be synonymous with inventions and innovations that transcend space and time. The Aries Point or the 0+ degree of Aries astrologically represents the key phrase ‘The personal is political,’ where one man’s story becomes the voice for many. Transits to this point often manifest in world major world events.

If we look at the chart for the ingress, there are plenty of solid supporting aspects to suggest there is more stability here than anything to fear. Ultimately what is changing crumbling or being burnt to ashes is only giving way for something new.

Also Mars is now in Virgo after a six month long transit through Leo, including a retrograde phase through the sign. With the ruler of Aries, Mars, now in Virgo we are likely to see technological breakthroughs. At best efforts on the part of individuals towards healing and service could turn into global movements that catch on like wildfire.

More realistically though, with Mars in Virgo could bring up a lot of nervous tension. With Jupiter and Uranus conjunct in Aries, there is at least one part of our world where like a lost child in a new world; significantly alone in a way that words can’t express, like a child.

Do we then meet our world in trust and curiosity like children? Or do we carry past experiences and allow them to taint our present with fear, suspicion and anger. It is statistically and scientifically proven, children who suffered physical abuse often grow up to be angry violent adults unable to express emotions or channel frustration.

Jupiter-Uranus are drawing us towards unknown experiences and Mars in Virgo could build anxiety about what’s to come. But the recent lessons of Mars transit in Leo has taught us important lessons learned about self-confidence, ego and pride. The phase we are entering now, is subtler one of service and doing what needs to be done.

On Tuesday night Mars opposes Chiron which could have us confronting deep spiritual and psychic wounds. For those struggling with addictions, this could be a rather healing transit, but this can only come with awareness. Be gentle on yourself and others. Acknowledge your wounds rather than pick your scabs, give something a chance to heal.

By the end of the week we have a New Moon in Gemini and Mercury changes signs to Gemini on Jun. 10, 2010 after its long retrograde and transit through Taurus. Before it leaves Taurus, over the next couple of days late Tuesday – early Wednesday, Mercury trines Saturn in Virgo and squares Neptune in Aquarius.

By this time the Moon will have entered Taurus so find your self-worth as you speak honestly within conversations. Aspects suggest there is stability in spite of the doubts, so avoid projecting mistrust. Trust yourself in that you know what’s best for you, even if you aren’t sure how something will be received.
