We are now heading towards a powerful Scorpio Full Moon exact May 8, 2009 at 11:01 PM in NYC and on May 9, 2009 at 4:01 AM in UK and 2:01 PM in Australia — so the Moon will be the fullest on Friday night in most parts of the world.

Each year the Scorpio Full Moon coincides with Buddha Pornima [Pornima means Full Moon in Sanskrit] in the Hindu calendar marking the Full Moon night Buddha attained Nirvana under the Bodhi tree. This gives us a deep insight into the transcendental energy of Scorpio and the ultimate surrender of self and ego needed to merge into the infinite.
