Dear Friends,
We’re past the energy of a powerful Scorpio Full Moon bringing dark truths to the surface. But still with the abundance of earth energy it’s hopefully been easier to absorb the darkness and let it fertilize the ground you stand on.
As I write this (May 20, 2011,) the Moon is just passed its conjunction to Pluto, trines to Mars, Venus and Mercury and is currently approaching in a tight square to Saturn in Libra. Where we’ve done the hard work we’re sure to strike gold pretty soon.
In a few hours Mars trines Pluto in Capricorn, followed by Mercury and Venus who repeat the aspect just about 24 hours later on May 21, 2011. I’ve explained these aspects in the Scorpio Full Moon post from a couple of days ago, so you may want re-read that.
Mercury and Venus have been traveling in close conjunction since the beginning of May and continue to through the end of the month suggesting communication is key. Also these are the last few hours of the Sun in Taurus: ground yourself in what is important and most importantly real. As the Sun changes signs and enters Gemin we can expect a shift in consciousness but this is also aiding the process of communication we are now under.
Have the courage to approach a difficult conversation. It has the potential to bring solid understanding, allowing us to re-establish the ground rules in financial and personal relationships. These may not be the easiest negotiations and there is a sense of having to dig to find ones own power and worth. But if you reach for something you want, it will be worth the effort and perhaps not as hard as you first imagined. It’s like thinking a door is locked just because it’s closed. Sometimes may be all it takes is turning the knob to discover a room full of treasures.
A significant aspect takes place on May 23, 2011 when Venus and Mars meet in a conjunction in Taurus. This is deeply symbolic of what’s occurring within relationships and financial situations. The energy is currently very sensual, luscious tangibly creative, fertile and lucrative. Nothing can grow without hard work, patience and commitment, but if it is done with love then even ‘work’ can bring deeply fulfilling pleasure.
Tomorrow I’ll post an excerpt from the May Astrology Overview sent out to subscribers at the beginning of the month, in which I’ve described the significance of this conjunction in greater detail. As of now the site is far from what I envision it being, but it is a work in progress and I hope you stick around as it evolves.

On personal note, thank you to all who emailed me with birthday wishes. I had a wonderfully simple memorable day. I was out with a few close friends the night before, spent my birth’day’ with my parents, ate lots of mangoes and had my extended family over for dinner. It’s been a few years since I’ve been home for my birthday and it was great to be surrounded by people who love me as I completed another journey around the Sun.
This recent Scorpio Full Moon was also conjunct my Ascendant and I am quite literally shedding skin on all levels – physically my shoulders are peeling from my recent tryst with the Sun in Goa, and I have yet to find words for what’s happening in my heart and soul.
But in a few days my progressed Moon moves from Cancer (progressed 8th house/natal 9th house) to Leo. It’s been a long 30 months of resurrection and re-birth (I’ll perhaps write more about that in an article on Progressed Charts soon,) and I’m looking forward to coming out of the depths into the sunlight again.
