Welcome to the week!

Mercury enters its shadow phase in a few hours at 11:20 PM UT at 21+ degrees of Virgo. It will turn retrograde on Sep. 6, 2009 at 6+ Libra and turns direct again on Sep. 29, 2009 at the degree it turns retrograde today.

The conversations we are having now will come up again over the next few weeks. In Virgo this energy can be a bit of a perfectionist, feeling like we are going over something with a fine toothed-comb. But given that we will pass this way again I suggest we focus more on healing rather than perfecting something. There is no such thing as perfection — even this Universe and all of creation is ultimately always evolving in its perfection.

Mars is now at the end of Gemini moving towards a square with Uranus this week just before the New Moon in Leo on Aug. 20, 2009. Also Mercury opposes Uranus later in the week. We can expect big changes to come about if we are willing to break out of our mental boundaries of what we “think” is possible. Uranus in Pisces suggests there are infinite divine possibilities available if we are willing to open up to them.

The Moon is now passing through Cancer making us more emotionally sensitive and raw. As we enter the dark of the Moon prepare to release resentful emotions and break down the ego, pride and hurt. The New Moon in Leo suggests we can wipe our hearts clean of pain and move forward in compassion if we choose. As Venus in Cancer trines Uranus in Pisces, there can be unexpected showers of healing love energy. If we want more love and warmth we need to open our hearts to it.
