I will be in Toronto as of now Oct. 15 – 18 and will be available for in-person Consultations during this time. I still have a few slots open so please contact me at the earliest to ensure an appointment. Also, I have some interest for a workshop during this time, but just trying to figure out the logistics. Please email me at priya@priyakale.com for details if you would be interested in attending.

Mercury moves out of echo phase today, taking us into “new” territory for the first time since Aug. 17, 2009. If you haven’t seen things start to shift yet or can feel things move but not sure if you can trust it; rise above your suspicions long enough to move forward and level important issues. Give it till the New Moon and then I predict we are really going to feel this change.
Also today on Wednesday, Venus changes signs from Virgo to Libra on Wednesday Oct. 14; and squares Pluto on Thursday, Oct. 15 soon after her ingress into the sign. Venus sextiled Mars yesterday and is now past her conjunction to Saturn setting us on a new financial, creative and emotional cycle. As Venus moves into her home sign Libra, this can feel like a breath of fresh air where until now something may have seemed like a chore.
But her square to Pluto on Thursday suggests there may be a few rules that need to adjusted internally. Find your own power within a situation rather than project any feelings of being victimized. This will require a conscious desire to open our hearts. But we are balancing the scales so there can be evolution and growth for all involved, which ultimately is the only true measure of a relationship. Take the time to resolve any old power struggles with authority issues that you’ve long outgrown.
With the New Moon in Libra on Oct. 18 at the end of the week, followed by Saturn’s ingress into the sign we have a lot of airy energy at our disposal chasing away dark clouds that may have seemed threatening not so long ago. In the last Aries Full Moon report I mentioned that we would begin to see the Gay marriage issue in the news. So I’m not surprised to see President Obama give a speech about this at this time. His statement “Despite the progress we’ve made, there are still laws to change and hearts to open.” speaks the astrology of Venus square Pluto beautifully.
Given all the planets in Libra the sign of equality, marriage and peace hopefully this is marking the sign of the times to come. With the Sun trine Chiron in Aquarius today there can be greater acceptance, understanding and healing within our relationships if we make the effort to reach for it. The message here seems to be we are each different and just as no two people are alike, no two relationships can be alike. Our dynamics change with each person we encounter.
We are going to have to evolve our definition of a “relationship” and marriage to understand, this is about a communion between two souls not just a union between two people. And the only two people who can define a relationship are the people in it. If we want change — it is hearts we need to open, not just our minds.

I’ll be back with more astrology sometime Thursday or Friday as Mars moves into Leo and my journey takes me to Toronto. Thursday also marks the first day of Diwali — the festival of lights, celebrated by Hindus all over the world. I do miss being home at this time to see the city [Mumbai] come alive with lights. But life is such and I am warmed by the light within that reminds me I am never too far from the love of my family and friends in spirit if not in flesh. Happy Diwali… On that note here is a blog from Niles — Mystics Unfolding: a dwelling place in God.

“With Saturn and Pluto both aspecting the Aries Point, we can expect these changes to be global not just personal. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear of the Gay marriage issue in the news over this time, there are likely to be corporate mergers or we could even see the darker side of the institution of marriage. But aspects to Pluto always signify evolution and no matter what comes up, this will help usher in the changes of the next couple of years. If we are able to resolve this balance within ourselves of the kind of relationships we want to build vs. the kind of “relationship” that is pre-defined by society we could make great strides towards greater peace for all.” — Priya Kale, One and One Make One, Aries Full Moon report, Oct. 4, 2009
