Thank god for small miracles…

As you may or may not already know, I hardly watch TV. It’s like the devil to me — sucks you in and before you know it you’re gone. To add to that I am a hermit in the winter months and with the load of writing on my desk, its a small miracle that I turned on the TV today and saw the amazing story of the plane crash on the Hudson River in NYC…

Given JUST the temperature here today (I woke up to snow outside my window and the high  today has been -7º C…) it’s a miracle that anyone survived the crash let alone ALL of them. It was apparently caused by a flock of sea-gulls that flew into the plane causing both engines to fail.

Of course I ran to check aspects and noticed the Sun trine MakeMake and I remembered having read Philip Sedgwick’s blog on this newly discovered minor planet where he states “From the naming citation issued by the IAU: ‘Makemake is the creator of humanity and the god of fertility in the mythology of the South Pacific island of Rapa Nui. He was the chief god of the Tangata manu bird-man cult and was worshiped (sic) in the form of sea birds, which were his incarnation. His material symbol, a man with a bird’s head, can be found carved in petroglyphs on the island.”

With the Sun trine the planet I guess there was a higher divine force cradling that plane. I know I didn’t “call” this aspect before it happened – but I think its a fascinating little display of astrology and life matching up in magical ways…

Personally, I would suggest you look for something in your life that seems to have crashed in cold water. There is a story of miraculous survival in there somewhere waiting for you to rescue it and give it new wings of hope…
