A quick hello, as we head into the Aries Full Moon exact at 1:09 AM EDT, Oct. 4, 2009.
The energy has certainly picked up since Mercury went direct. I’ve been preparing for my – ‘Diving in the Sun’ workshop tomorrow and even had a chat with my old pal Eric Francis yesterday for wise words of advice.
We caught up on the astrology of our times, life and our upcoming schedule for the end of the year. Aside from the 2010 Yearly Horoscopes that will be available on this site, I will also be writing an article; and working on the Planet Waves 2010 Annual with Eric. So will bring you details of those projects as I have them.
Also I am going to try and record the workshop, so I can make it available here on the site. But I have a new recorder and will have to see how to work this thing.
It’s 7:52 PM as I write this, the Moon is currently at 8+ Aries nearing its opposition to the Sun at 11+ Libra (currently at) 8+ Aries. Mercury is now forming a close opposition to Uranus and sextile to Mars, while Mars closely trine Uranus. This is wild hot emotion and fluid passion. The Aries Full Moon report is in the post below this one.
In the meanwhile, its been pouring rain here in Penetang. Summer’s definitely gone, but Autumn is here and my Scorpio loving and rising self loves the mystery of the falling leaves. There’s something about the way they just let go and float off the branches that have for seasons been home. They seem to trust and surrender to the wind like the Aries new born, to carry them safely as they float to the Earth. Knowing, no matter where they fall she will welcome them home.
I also spoke with my mother today and she reminded me that this Full Moon is what in India we celebrate as Kojagiri Pornima (read Wiki blurb below) On this night we stay up as late as we can to soak in the moonlight. Lakshmi who we pray to on this night is the Goddess of Wealth — which is also the energy of Venus, ruler of the Libra Sun. This just reminds me no matter what language we speak or where we come from, all ‘truth’ is just different fingers pointing to the same Moon…
And She is big, bright and beautiful tonight…
Moonbeams and passion,
Priya
p.s.
I will be heading back to NYC soon via Toronto and will be doing consultations while in Toronto around the 14th of October. My dates have not yet been finalized but please email me if you are interested in scheduling a session, so I will factor in accordingly. Thanks!

Kojaagari Pornima, Wiki Excerpt. Read full page here.
“The Sharad Purnima or Kojaagari Purnima is a harvest festival celebrated on the full moon day of the Hindu lunar month of Ashwin (September-October). The rainy season is over and the brightness of the full moon brings special joy. This is a traditional celebration of the moon and is also called the Kaumudi celebration, Kaumudi meaning moonlight.
“At night, goddess Laxmi is worshiped and night vigil is observed. According to a folk-tale, once a king fell on evil days, and was in great financial straits, but then his queen observed this fast and night vigil, and worshiped the goddess of wealth, Laxmi. Consequently, they were blessed by the goddess and they regained their prosperity.”
