As I write this, the Full Moon continues to make her way through Scorpio. She enters Sagittarius at 2:35 AM UT on Friday, late night in the US on Thursday. The energy will feel much lighter then, but we are likely to feel the effects of this lunation reverberate for a while.

Today, Venus quincunxes Pluto; with the planets being rulers of Taurus and Scorpio respectively, this is especially significant. A quincunx can feel like an irritating aspect, so there may be a sense of reaching for something but falling short. In other words it makes you stretch.

There may be a need to stand up to “authority,” confronting fears and finding one’s voice. Creative and heartfelt communication could manifest in solid change, unearthing deeper potential within financial, creative as well as emotional situations and relationships.

Mysterious Scorpio Full Moon…

We are leading up to an intense powerful Scorpio Full Moon exact Wednesday 8:18 AM, so the Moon will be the fullest Tuesday night in the US and UK. I don’t know about you but the suspense is killing me, and I’m only half joking.

Scorpio Full Moon report, An Excerpt ==

“In Scorpio the Moon is said to be in her Fall, but in truth this is where the true alchemical change happens. Scorpio is a fixed water sign, where energy transforms and transcends states. Saturn opposite Uranus

Today, Saturn in Virgo makes its 4th exact opposition to Uranus in Pisces at 7:35 PM EDT on Monday in the US. This is due to bring milestone changes, shaking the old and familiar to make way for a new order to emerge.

The previous aspects took place on Nov. 4, 2008, Feb. 5, 2009 and Sep. 15 2009. Look back to the developments occurring in your life around these times to get a sense of the greater picture unfolding. Also keep an eye on the news today.

Saturn and Uranus are very opposite energies. If Saturn represents form, structure and the material world, Uranus’ awakens us to the unknown, beyond the horizons of the mind. With the Moon in Libra, emotionally we could find ourselves swinging wildly between extremes so do what you can to find peace.

Interestingly, Chiron has just changed signs into Pisces. Chiron’s orbit crosses the orbits of Saturn and Uranus. Bridging the gap between the ‘manifest’ and the ‘un-manifest’ Promethean energy. Hence its transits come with a rapid transformation of events.

Within emotional situations, take down the walls that prevent you from reaching a greater flood of intimacy. If we become aware of our wounds, we can step into the unknown to consciously seek healing and freedom. With this being the final opposition on this Virgo-Pisces axis, these are permanent shifts. We are being awoken to a spiritual truth and a higher cosmic order.

The Libra Moon suggests relationships are certainly highlighted. There’s more information coming to light with the Sun-Mercury conjunction in Taurus at the time of the Full Moon. It may be time to go deeper or to let go. For now do what you can to find balance within a situation or at the very least yourself. Honest communication and mutual respect will be key.

There may be sudden surprising developments to deal with and this may be unnerving. Channeling this energy may be an art in itself. But be innovative, creative and dedicated and you can find a way through this seeming craziness to a place beyond your wildest dreams.

There’s a heavy nervousness and anticipation in the air. The Moon is now in Virgo, past the First Quarter phase heading to the Full Moon in Scorpio next week.

This is her first ingress into Virgo since Chiron entered Pisces, this may have us channeling a sudden new kind of awareness – to emotions you didn’t know existed. Her entry into the sign is also lighting up the Saturn-Uranus opposition in Virgo and Pisces due to exact on Monday.

Meanwhile Venus is now making her way through the final degrees of Taurus, aspecting outer planets bringing relationships and financial situations to a forefront.

Currently, there is a Venus-Neptune square in effect bringing deep doubt in love, emotional matters, relationships, financial and creative situations. There maybe a sense of disillusionment to deal with. Rather than project doubt, stay true to what you value and know to be true and real.

Be very honest and clear with yourself about what you will and will not stand for; and the ways you may be in denial of something. This will be valuable questioning process, helping us re-negotiate healthier boundaries in awareness of where we stand.

As Venus trines Saturn and sextiles Uranus late tonight (in NYC) and overnight and tomorrow Saturday in UK and Australia, helping us make a valuable shift that’s been a long time coming.

Ground yourself in this energy over the next few days. Venus enters Gemini late Saturday night in the US, on Sunday in UK and Australia.  Much is shifting next week her aspects this weekend are giving us a solid glimpse of what is important and what we can lean on when the going gets tough. As ingresses Gemini, there may be a feeling of deep indecision. But if we can be honest with ourselves, there can be greater awareness showing us another side to the story. Healing can come if we stay in the present and grow with what we learn.

We stand on profoundly shifting sands and there may be heavy second thoughts about fundamental issues and situations in our life. Happy Earth Day everyone!

If anyone has ever wondered about Astrology and if it works, we’re getting quite the wake-up call lately.

We’ve seen enough natural disasters this year alone, aligning with powerful cosmic alignments. And the signs are getting more and more literal, in your face, and impossible to ignore.

Beginning with the Haiti earthquake at the time of the Capricorn Eclipse to the recent volcano eruption in Iceland at the time fiery Aries New Moon.

This recent one was coupled with Mercury (planet of communication and transportation) retrograde in Taurus, an earth sign. Transportation has come to a halt, with flights being ‘grounded,’ causing a ripple effect affecting many thousands, if not more.

My friend [and neighbor in Mumbai] Sam is just making it to Delhi after being stuck in Amsterdam for the past 10 days with still no flights to Mumbai. I would predict it’s going to take at least until after the direct station, for transportation to resume back to ‘normal.’ Although arresting in its effects, this incident is a stunning example of how energy (or astrology) manifests.

Astrology is a study of the ‘whole.’ Cavemen didn’t have encyclopedias; it is modern man and the (so called) civilized, intelligent mind that seeks to label and define, thereby dividing the whole, creating separation and fragmentation.

Today is Earth Day and with the Sun, Mercury and Venus in Taurus this definitely celebrating her energy. With Venus (ruler of Taurus) approaching in harmonious aspect to the Saturn-Uranus opposition, the stars couldn’t be better aligned to make positive, soulful shift. [Notably, Hurricane Katrina and the Tsunami in Asia coincided with the time this aspect first began developing and now we reach the final aspect in these signs.]

Do something that shows your love for the Earth. As we can plainly see, our planet could do with more than a little TLC.  Even if you are fairly green, on this Earth Day go out of your way to do more than what you do otherwise. Even if you live in the city — go beyond just recycling, carrying cloth bags and avoiding plastic.

Dig deeper within yourself to ask what this planet is worth to you? What can you give back? Make it your mission to find your personal contribution, and commit to it. I’ll let you know what I come up with, I feel called. Here’s a video from GreenPeace for inspiration – definitely worth a minute and a half of your time.

It’s our planet and our responsibility. As much as “God” exists, we are part of that Divine ‘whole.’ There is no God coming down from Heaven to save us — we are it. Unless we awaken to our individual power and responsibility to create change, we’re in for a rude awakening. With the Grand Cross approaching in June and July, the future is quite literally in our hands.

With Mercury retrograde in Taurus, look closely at the “ideas” you’ve taken for granted; there’s a deeper truth buried there. You may have to dig a little, but trust your instincts and question doubt.

Mercury will be in exact conjunction to the Sun at the time of the Scorpio Full Moon bringing a solid revelation of facts as they stand. Something is not cast in stone yet and we will get another chance to visit this when Mercury is direct. But expect to have an unequivocal understanding at this time of what we need to let go of and what needs to change. And times they are changing, alright…

Sun in Taurus, Chiron in Pisces, Moon in Leo reaches First Quarter

Dear Friends,

It’s just past midnight on Tuesday in NYC as I write this. The Sun and Chiron are in a sextile, dangling in the last degrees of Aries and Aquarius; bringing an awareness of individual purpose as it fits in with the greater collective.

The Sun ingresses Taurus any minute now and Chiron will ingress Pisces shortly, maintaining their aspect to each other. Chiron in Pisces is opening a doorway to divine energy and in aspect to the Sun in Taurus we can channel this into physical energy – healing for the body, self-worth, and consequently material abundance.

On Wednesday at 11:41 AM EDT, the Moon enters Leo and reaches First Quarter phase (not yesterday, as I mentioned in Monday’s post. I later corrected it.) This brings us to a turning point from the recent New Moon, as we head to a powerful Scorpio Full Moon next week, hot on the heels of the Saturn-Uranus opposition.

With Mars in a T-square to the Full Moon, these days of the Moon in Leo are shedding light on an important truth or burning issue that needs to be dealt with. Be honest with yourself about the things within you that need to change, rather than project anger, defensiveness or stubbornness that ultimately stands in the way of your passion and desires.

Mars is now making its final pass through Leo moving us forward from situations that began emerging back in September and October. With Mercury retrograde, although the pace of things may seem frustratingly slow at times – thank heaven for putting the breaks on situations that need thoughtful consideration.

No doubt we are coming up on powerful changes, but in spite of the confusion stay the path. The weekend is loaded with aspects (the “good” kind at that) suggesting through personal growth, transformation and maturity we could be mining tangible and sensual treasures.

With the Sun, Mercury and Venus (in her last week) in Taurus we are in a lush, fertile space, so don’t be afraid to make the most of it. Abundance is ours for the taking if we open ourselves to it in humility.

Pay attention to the events unfolding over the next couple of days with the Moon in Leo – it will give you a clue into what’s coming up around the Full Moon.

As I end this, I notice the Sun has entered Taurus and truthfully I felt the energy shift a little while ago as I was writing the Blog. It’s been a deeply introspective 12th house transit for me over the past few weeks. And it’s good to feel like myself and have my feet back on the ground again.

Welcome to a new week!

Things are changing faster than we can imagine now, yet with all the Taurus energy there is a degree of stability that we can be thankful for.

Late tonight (Monday) in the US and on Tuesday in the UK and Australia, the Sun in Aries sextiles Chiron in Aquarius, before both planets change signs to Taurus and Pisces respectively.

As the planets move into earth and water, expect the energy to feel lush and fertile. Chiron has been in Aquarius for the past five years; so its ingress into Pisces is a major shift. I covered this transit briefly in Aries New Moon report but will be back with a short article on Chiron in Pisces sometime during the week.

But now more than ever there can be a physical awareness of the divine ethereal energy that surrounds and permeates all. Now would be an excellent time to get a massage. Those in healing professions, I would love for you to post your experiences here on the blog as the week progresses.

Also a week from now, Saturn in Virgo opposes Uranus at the end of Pisces filling the air with apprehension and anxiety. Mercury is now retrograde, so Information may not exactly be forthcoming and this may be frustrating. But with Venus making solid aspects to the Saturn-Uranus opposition at the end of the week — financially, emotionally and within relationships there is greater stability and depth, than anything we might fear.

Today, the Moon enters Cancer and opposes Pluto: invest your energy wisely, steer clear of emotional tug-of-wars and let go of insecurities.

With the Sun and Chiron in the last degree of the Aries and Aquarius today, they are soaked in the energy of the signs. As they form a sextile this can be an extremely potent and healing aspect, releasing a sudden rush of deep blazing self-awareness. Ride the wave, there’s a divine truth percolating.

Welcome to the weekend!

I hope you got to see the triple conjunction of the Moon Venus and Mercury in the sky over the past two days. I didn’t but I heard it was a beautiful sight. As I write this the Moon is in the final degrees of Taurus before she ingresses Gemini for the weekend. With Mercury stationary at the moment communication may certainly seem stuck.

Mercury stations retrograde [just before midnight on Saturday in the US and on Sunday in UK and Australia.] It will station direct again on May 11, 2010 and will be out of shadow phase only on May 28, 2010 when it will move past the point it occupies tomorrow. So the conversations we are having now are part of a greater process of negotiations, which will be through only by the end of May.

There is important information due to surface over the course of the weekend. On Saturday, Chiron in squares Juno in Taurus marking an important turning point, if we become aware of the wounds that prevent and isolate us from experiencing deeper commitments within partnerships. Avoid projection and recognize your own insecurities, needs for acceptance, loyalty as well as stability and find a way to communicate.

Also with Venus making aspects to Pluto and Jupiter over the weekend relationships and financial situations are  highlighted. This energy is rather sensual, sexual, alchemical, creative and seductive so be open to pleasure and dare to dive in.

When it comes to relationships and financial situations we are not as stuck as we may fear. The Venus-Pluto aspect occurs on Saturday and is a deeply transformative one. It could be something that pierces straight through the heart and soul. If we can let go of the past, there could be tangible, physical, sensual treasures to be mined.

What matters is not so much how something looks on the outside, but its true value on the inside. This is true of relationships, as well as material things. With the retrograde we will be retracing steps with important conversations and agreements over the coming weeks; recognize a diamond in the rough.

Shortly after the Venus-Pluto aspect on Saturday, Venus sextiles Jupiter (late Saturday evening in the US, overnight and early Sunday in the UK and Australia) opening a lush, fertile space. Be wise, hopeful, inspired, imaginative, creative with your resources and you may be surprised with what you can accomplish.

When it comes to love and emotional matters, the stars are truly offering us a chance to swirl in the ecstasy of it all as time stands still. As long as we don’t get stuck on opinions and let the hearts do the talking, (and listening) we could learn something valuable.
