Dear Friends,

Welcome to the weekend. We are still under the energy of a very powerful Aries Full Moon. With the Sun in Libra, relationships are definitely in the spotlight, and the Full Moon has dredged up a lot of emotion and deep-rooted fear. Deal with this as consciously as possible.

We are correcting huge imbalances in our world and in our relationships. It may all seem very precarious, but this will help us move forward with greater understanding of our interdependence with others. With self-awareness we can become more aware of what needs to change within so that we can support our own weight within our relationships, which indeed are a fine balance.

When everyone’s needs are met equally, there is peace and harmony; if not, there is discord. Yes, there are important choices to be made, but Mercury is still in shadow until Sept. 27, 2010, and there is more unraveling, so don’t be too quick to jump the gun.

As long as we learn from the past, there is no reason to fear the future. In truth, all there is is now.  Over the coming week we can finally stabilize and move forward with a situation that has been in limbo since last November, and we can do this in a spirit of mutual respect and cooperation.

The Moon moves into Taurus on Saturday at 4:16 PM and will remain in the sign through the weekend. This is due to bring much-needed relief after all the fiery energy. This should help us to ground fearful emotions and to focus on what or who we value and on what is REAL. (There’s plenty of paranoia to go around.)

Mars and Venus are definitely igniting deep — perhaps dark — emotions as well. But only through allowing ourselves to feel everything can we turn anger and pain into love. The strongest relationships are those that can evolve through the worst and over to the other side. With Mercury on the ascendant of the Full Moon chart (look above) — communication over next two weeks is key.

Find comfort in those relationships and people that value you. This is sensual, richly fertile energy that could be a real turning point in understanding who is important to us. The Taurus Moon is a reminder: patience and loyalty are both virtues, and anything worth having is worth working for.

Also, late Saturday in the US (Sunday in UK and Australia) the Sun in Libra squares Pluto in Capricorn. We are reaching an important turning point within relationships. But this will come through an internal change first rather than through trying to control someone or something. I’ve explained the aspects and the energy of this very significant Full Moon in this week’s Moon report. Please read below for an excerpt.

I wish you a comforting weekend…

With Love,

Priya

Aries Full Moon report

An Excerpt ==

“Libra represents the fine balance in our relationships. But before we can merge with another on an equal level, this Full Moon asks for an awareness of “self.” Who are you? What do you want? What do you desire? Trusting another with one’s innermost needs comes with the danger of being weak or vulnerable. Unless we are honest with ourselves and with another, there can be no hope of having those needs met.

“Couples who’ve been together for 50 years will surely tell you that aside from passion, it’s handling life’s ups and downs without letting it sully the love. If someone cannot accept you at your worst, they surely will never appreciate your best (everyone “deserves” our best.) Communication will be key; Libra suggests honesty is the best policy. With the Moon in Aries, be childlike and curious rather than demanding or emotionally reactive.

“Indeed, Pluto holds the key to this Full Moon at the apex of the T-square, showing what we can change to restore balance. As the Sun squares Pluto on Sep. 26, 2010, this is due to bring an important turning point. This is an internal change and breakdown of old conditioning handed down by parents, authority figures and society.

“Whose rules do you want to live by? Who dictates the rules of your personal life or even your business and financial decisions? What are your definitions for success or failure? Where did these come from? What motivates you in your choices? Is it fear or faith?

“With Pluto, make these choices consciously, as you are today, in awareness of the people who depend on you and whom you depend on. Don’t underestimate the power of evolution, especially with Aries Point activity. As one person evolves, every life he or she touches is changed as a result. With Pluto in close conjunction to the North Node, this has to do with a greater collective global, cultural and social transformation in effect. [Watch the gay rights and marriage issue to come up in the news.]

“We cannot continue unhealthy codependency anymore within relationships. But we can certainly break those patterns consciously, setting in place new rules and boundaries through communication so that there is a mutual sense of respect. What are the historic patterns you are willing to break free of, allowing you to coexist with the people in your life on a more peaceful level? We are co-creating our reality now with the people in our lives. As long as we focus on only our selfish desires, we will be left wanting.”

— Priya Kale, Aries Full Moon, Sep. 23, 2010

Harvest Moon…

We said we’d walk together baby come what may
That come the twilight should we lose our way
If as we’re walkin’ a hand should slip free
I’ll wait for you
And should I fall behind
Wait for me

We swore we’d travel darlin’ side by side
We’d help each other stay in stride
But each lovers steps fall so differently
But I’ll wait for you
And if I should fall behind
Wait for me

Now everyone dreams of a love lasting and true
But you and I know what this world can do
So lets make our steps clear that the other may see
And I’ll wait for you
If I should fall behind
Wait for me

Now there’s a beautiful river in the valley ahead
There ‘neath the oaks bough soon we will be wed
Should we lose each other in the shadow of the evening trees
I’ll wait for you
And should I fall behind
Wait for me
Darlin’ I’ll wait for you
Should I fall behind
Wait for me

Did you feel it then? Yesterday, the Virgo Sun made an opposition to Jupiter and Uranus in Pisces.

This may have brought a few surprising developments and overwhelming feelings to deal with. On the other hand here could be heavenly magical surprises in store, like something that shakes you to the core of your bones, touching the soul, leaving you swirling speechless in the divine. Be open to receive.

I know more than one person who was in bed with the flu. This is potent energy, possibly nervous, chaotic energy. But sometimes it is only out of chaos that creation happens. Go with the flow, listen to your body and find a way to channel the energy – through art, music or whatever moves you.

Speaking of, I got a surprise call from my brother late last evening, telling me he had free tickets to see Shakira in concert. I’ve never really been a listened to her music much, but I’m glad I went; it turned out to be a fun evening with my brother and couple of our friends.

That girl can move, and her hips certainly don’t lie. She ended the show with the World Cup song, which brought back wonderful World Cup memories, with Niles and Juno who were here with me this summer. And now that I think about it, was the time of the last Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in June (then in Aries.)

It was the perfect experience of the Virgo-Pisces energy to watch a beautiful body move with music and spirit. Pisces represents divine energy, it also represents music and vibration. That’s why music and poetry is said to be the language of God — it stirs the soul. It’s also why rock stars can be like mini-gods.

We are all rock-stars in our own right. It’s about understanding our role in the Universe, and allowing Spirit to move, guide and mold us into a divine image and purpose. Rather than us trying to force a specific manifestation of selfish desires. No matter how magnificent our dreams and fantasies, we can trust God has dreamed a better reality for us than we could ever dare to.

With the astrology we are being asked to break free of our attachments to illusions and perhaps fearful fantasies. The reality is a lot more sublime and beautiful if we can only dare open our eyes and awaken to it. Pisces represents “spirit” – whether this is “soul” in it’s most ethereal state or be it “addiction” in any form, it is our hungering for the Divine and a desire to fill that great void, that drives us.

With the Sun in Virgo, recognize it is impossible to rationalize a divine plan. To a certain extent we have to trust our feelings and have faith. There is definitely a sense of walking into the unknown. Yesterday’s aspect has brought us a final opportunity to integrate the lessons of the past two years of Saturn in Virgo.

As the Moon moves through Pisces it will conjunct Jupiter and Uranus again bringing us an inner emotional intuitive understanding of the all the creative chaos that has spilled over. Absorb all that is coming through as you move through today and understand what it is you need personally and can do, to make a healthier balanced co-operative start with others.

As the Sun enters Libra tonight, it marks the Autumnal Equinox putting the spotlight on relationships. Also tomorrow (Sep. 22, 2010) marks a profoundly potent Aries Full Moon, at 5:17 AM marking a culmination point of the transition we’ve been in since last November. This one conjuncts the Aries Point, so we can expect important global shifts going into effect over the coming days.

On a personal level, this Full Moon asking us to step up and take responsibility for the reality (especially within relationships) we have created before moving forward. With Venus and Mars in Scorpio this is a powerful core transformation we are experiencing within sexual and financial connections. It’s due to be an emotional time which means dealing with the good, bad and ugly.

How we manage our relationships will be key, but this comes from being honest with ourselves first. Unless we own our feelings we will continue to swim in painful confusion. Ever since I was young I used to say, “feelings aren’t right or wrong, they just ‘are.’” Acknowledge, accept and own yours – only then there can be change. Ultimately most of the barriers in connecting with another on deeper levels of trust come from differences of perception, not the heart.

Recently, Niles called me “spiritually clumsy” and dared me to write about it (that’s a Blog for another day.) It’s true, I am. But we all are, in our own way. We all make mistakes, we fall down, but as long there is learning there can be growth and that indeed is the only journey we are on — of evolution. The Full Moon suggests, with honest reflective (not reactive) communication in an effort to seek understanding and compromise, we can restore a crucial balance.

I’ll be back in your mailbox with the Aries Full Moon report, with a detailed interpretation of the aspects at the time of this lunation. Hello, and welcome to the weekend,

There are powerful aspects aligning in the cosmos over the next few days, leading to a powerful Full Moon next week. How we direct and steer this energy (not try to control it) is what will determine the course of the future.

On Saturday, Mercury trines the North Node at 11:42 AM EDT; Jupiter and Uranus conjunct in Pisces at 9:25 PM EDT; and Mars in Scorpio sextiles Pluto in Capricorn at 10:41 PM EDT. These aspects occur later in the day and overnight in UK and Australia. At this time, the Moon will be in Aquarius and will remain in the sign through the weekend.

With Mercury now direct and in a trine with the North Node, expect to have important conversations that show us the way to the future and where this is all headed, this time with greater understanding of all the intricate processes at work. It will require commitment and dedication to a path and goal, but where there is a will, there is a way.

Mars and Pluto aligning are bringing a surge of power, passion and progress. Channeled consciously, this could be an unstoppable force. Just remember: with power comes responsibility.

Pluto is making its way slowly across the North Node. This is a powerful indicator of global, social and cultural evolution. The recent T-square brought these changes into effect full force, and the coming Aries Full Moon will mark a final turning point.

Capricorn is the third earth sign, representing physical energy in its most evolved state. We could say this is wealth, status and power, but in its highest manifestation, it represents knowledge (of mankind and humanity), the true source of wealth and power.

How can we use our true wealth — knowledge (which comes not from textbooks, but from core experiences of being) — consciously? How can we transmute the darker energy and perhaps painful personal life experiences into something that ultimately brings light and makes the world a better place?

Pluto can tend to bring darker impulses to the surface, but in acknowledgment there can be change. What motivates you in your desires for love, success or pleasure?  How do we use or misuse or withhold information? Mars in Scorpio is bringing about evolution on a personal, “individual” level. It doesn’t have to be a major change; a small, subtle one could make a world of a difference in the larger emerging destiny, as well as on a personal level.

With Jupiter and Uranus conjunct in Pisces, this is ethereal energy, although a little wild and rambunctious. We could experience a few unexpected showers. But a magician is one who works with the elements, with what is present — making something out of seemingly nothing. This is very imaginative and creative energy with an element of being able surrender to the divine unknown and dance in the rain.

In letting go of illusions, of fearful fantasies, we can begin to appreciate the magical, rich reality of the present. Expect the effects of this conjunction to linger for a while. Both planets are in retrograde motion, so this suggests an inner giving way, recognition of inner depth and wisdom of experience.

By early January next year, Jupiter and Uranus will conjunct again in Pisces (this time direct), and Venus will remain in Scorpio throughout this entire phase, suggesting a longer phase emerging for creative, financial, emotional and sexual partnerships and situations.

Early next week, just before the Full Moon, the Virgo Sun will make an opposition to Jupiter and Uranus. This will bring a more personal experience of the energy and a breakthrough in situations, showing us how to integrate all that we’ve learned over the past two years, as well as in the past month, and put it to work and good use.

Relationships could get rather passionate, with Venus and Mars both traveling through Scorpio, but allow yourself to “feel” without denial or trying to analyze everything. What on the surface seems chaotic has more depth and is part of grander divine design. Look at what is possible rather than focus on what isn’t, and then let go and enjoy the ride.

Wishing you love and magic,

Priya

Here is feedback from a listener who recently purchased the Relationship & Finance Audios:

“Dear Priya,

Just listened to mine–Capricorn. Such a lovely and rich reading.  Thank you. It certainly will.  I will go back to it over and over again.  I liked your delivery and presentation–clear, crisp and measured.  I understood everything in one take.  I also like how you were clear about the planetary aspects and dates, explaining what planetary influences cause what and when.  Your vision is very kind and supportive.”

In case you haven’t felt it already, things are shifting. Mercury is now direct, and yesterday, Pluto stationed direct and Mars entered Scorpio, releasing core transformational energy.

Today, Wednesday, the Moon enters Capricorn and will trigger the T-square, bringing us to a final turning point in situations and a final chance to correct our course consciously as we head toward the Aries Full Moon and Equinox next week.

This is due to bring a powerful culmination of events that have been in transition since November of last year, taking us to the next level of development.

Mars and Pluto suggest that our ability to shape the future will depend on conscious choices made in awareness of our motivations and of the reality we’ve already created.

As Mercury moves forward, we’re regaining crucial understanding of reality as it stands, giving us another chance to redirect our paths where we may have veered off-course. We can now also renew our understandings of situations that may have seemed to go horribly wrong the more we tried to fix them.

Mars and Venus are now in Scorpio and will travel closely together through the rest of the year. The energy is creative, lucrative, deeply passionate and sexual. Venus remains in Scorpio for most of the rest of the year, suggesting a longer phase emerging that will bring profound changes and transformation in financial, creative and personal situations and relationships.

Scorpio is the sign that symbolizes death and, more significantly, resurrection. It strips us of all that is unreal and leaves behind only “essence,” indestructible even by death. This is a very alchemical process, and with Venus and Mars in aspect, you could say it’s pure gold.

But first comes the process of burning the impurities. It is only when we’ve seen the worst of another and are still able to love them that we can go deeper into levels of intimacy and trust. If there is no trust or any imbalance of power, then one person ends up feeling or being victimized.

With Saturn in Virgo for the past two years, there has been a feeling of life not being one’s own, a sense of service to a higher power. But ‘what or who are you serving?’ is the bigger question. Are you a slave to your desires?

This is why Libra comes before Scorpio. With the upcoming Full Moon next week as the Sun enters Libra, expect relationships to come to a head, teaching us the importance of interdependence, mutual respect, equality and cooperation. This Full Moon will also trigger the T-square aspect, bringing a final culmination to dramas that have been playing out perhaps since November of last year.

But perhaps the most magical, hopeful and inspiring news comes as Jupiter and Uranus conjunct in Pisces on Sept. 18, 2010. This is very permeable, ‘spiritual’ energy, the kind that touches your soul and opens the gateway to heavenly experiences and dreams that we dare not dream. Magic and delicious, ethereal surprises are all around if we are open to receive.

Stay open to serendipity…

Love,
Priya

Dear Friends,

We’re in the last run of this marathon, and the lines above pretty much sum up the weekend astrology. Early Wednesday marked a New Moon in Virgo, giving us the opportunity to start over in important situations that seem to be hanging on a thread.

As I write this at around 8:30 PM EDT on Thursday, the Moon is in Libra and is moving toward a conjunction to Mars late tomorrow. Currently Mars is in an exact trine to Neptune and will trine Chiron late Friday in NYC, overnight and on Saturday in UK and Australia.

These aspects are likely to feel like flurry of energy or a gust of wind. As I mention this, it reminds me: I walked outside just a little while ago, and it was very cold, windy and blustery. As above, so below, and this could be just the cosmic breeze we need to bring clarity and awareness and to cool down a burning issue.

In relationships, don’t fight for justice when what you want is peace. Be willing to offer the tolerance, understanding and acceptance you seek. Healing is present, but this can get emotionally hot. Only in awareness and, most importantly, self-awareness can we find the understanding that we seek.

The Moon enters Scorpio early Saturday at 5:20 AM EDT. Mercury is now almost stationary and will station direct on Sunday under the Scorpio Moon. Also early Sunday Venus in Scorpio sextiles Pluto in Capricorn. Expect to unearth deep secrets and valuable information over the coming days, especially the weekend.

Expect important conversations that take you back to where you were at the beginning of August. We’ve been on a long journey of digging through the past. It’s time to dust off our knees and move forward with the lessons we’ve learned.

With the Moon and Venus both in Scorpio, in aspects to Pluto (ruler of Scorpio,) their transits could possibly dredge up deep stuff, especially surrounding, sex, money and deep emotional attachments that we may share. Move consciously through the fear to the other side. Scorpio is a reminder that the only way out is through.

The process of “letting go” is really an internal, not an external, one. We are in a New Moon cycle – there can only be growth and recognition of what is real, eternal and precious.

Surrender the darker forces of guilt, abandonment or fear within you that unconsciously prevent you from trusting, experiencing pleasure or reaching for something you deeply desire. Also, look at emotional patterns within you that need to change or that you need to let go of, especially unconscious patterns that relate to your mother.

If we are able to let go a little and allow ourselves to feel, then what seems dark and bleak could turn out to be magically tangible, profitable, luscious and fertile. This is true for emotional, creative and financial situations and for all relationships.

By Monday, the Moon enters Sagittarius, heralding a new dawn with solid improvements on the horizon. As Mercury stations direct, stay with a process, and you could soon be reaping rich rewards.

Forgiveness is a choice, as is letting go of guilt, anger, resentment, fear and pain. Ultimately, only love is real, and the Moon and Venus in Scorpio are a promise of resurrection.

As a Scorpio once said to me, “Scared or sacred, it all depends on how we ‘c’ things.”

I wish you a magical weekend…

Love,

Priya

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the Virgo New Moon, which occurred this morning, Sept. 8, 2010, at 6:29 AM EDT. In a few minutes from now, Venus changes signs, moving into Scorpio, and later tonight, Jupiter will retrograde back into Pisces. I’ve written about this energy in detail in the Virgo New Moon report, and you can read an excerpt below.

Also, I wanted to mention — today is a very special day for me for two very special reasons. Today is my dearest grandfather’s (Thackeray Baba) birthday, and it is also the Feast of Mother Mary, celebrated to commemorate the Nativity of Mary. The first Sunday after the feast marks the beginning of the week-long Bandra Fair at the Mount Mary Church.

I grew up at the foothill of the church; right across from my building are long winding steps that lead up a small hill to the church overlooking the Arabian Sea. It’s special to me because as a child it’s where would go to play every evening — in the church compound. Just the thought of it brings back memories of the sea breeze and soothes my spirit.

I have not been home yet this year, and my heart longs for it on days like today. But sharing does help…

I wish you a Happy Virgo New Moon on this blessed day…

Love,

Priya

Virgo New Moon report

An Excerpt ==

“What is significant about this New Moon is that it leads to a very powerful Aries Full Moon two weeks from now. It conjuncts the Aries Point at 0+ Aries, triggering the T-square that has dominated the recent season bringing a culmination to the changes we’ve been working towards.

“There’s no turning back and the seeds we sow will indeed determine how we cross the threshold and enter this new phase in our journey – whether it is in grace and strength or kicking and screaming.

“We should see a steady progress over the coming days and by mid-next week we’ll be moving ahead full throttle. Which makes it ever so important, that we take the phase of emptying out the past and letting go of baggage seriously.

“Now and in the days following the Virgo New Moon till Mercury stations direct follow your intuition and take it slow. There is more hope in the future, as long as we are willing to work towards it with faith and devotion.”

Weekly Astrology Audio Forecast on the BSFollmer Show

Happy Labor Day to everyone in the US!

I can’t believe it’s the last day of summer here in the Northern Hemisphere. Truly, the year seems to have flown by…

Here’s this week’s Audio Astrological update with Scott and Jennifer on the BSFollmer show!

In it, I talk about the upcoming New Moon in Virgo on Sept. 8th as Venus changes signs into Scorpio. Also, Jupiter retrogrades back into Pisces this week, and Mercury will station direct at the end of the week, on Sunday.

Today, Monday, the Moon is still in Leo and will enter Virgo tomorrow, edging toward the New Moon on Wednesday. Early today, retrograde Mercury trined the North Node, giving us important insight into ‘course correction’ so that we can reach our destination.

Also today (Monday), the Sun squares the the Galactic Core in Sagittarius. It may seem like there are too many possibilities and too many options to choose from, and there is no easy answer to a complex solution.

The aspect suggests that we go inward to seek “knowing,” understanding, and wisdom about the best way to proceed. We cannot control every little detail, and some things are just not ours to “know.” Trust the wiser part of you.

I’ll be back with more astrology on the blog covering the Virgo New Moon. I’m currently offering a discount on personal consultations booked before Mercury stations direct, so please email me to set up an appointment.

Enjoy your day…

Welcome to September!

Early Friday (in NYC), Mercury made an interior conjunction to the Sun in Virgo, asking for introspection if we want to gain insight. There are deeper processes coming to light, and it would be easy to find fault with a situation or look to place blame, shame, or guilt.

Saturn has finally entered Libra after a challenging two-year phase through Virgo. During this time it also formed a series of oppositions to Uranus in Pisces, rocking the boat wildly within situations.

Now, Saturn is in Libra and the pressure’s off, but with Mercury retrograde in Virgo, we are still highly sensitive to this energy. It may be hard to “believe” that we don’t face the same restrictions we once did or that anything can change.

As we approach the New Moon this week and Mercury stations direct at the end of the week, there is every reason to believe that things can and will get better. There is nothing so wrong that cannot be “fixed.” Forgive yourself and others for what may have gone wrong in the past, and focus on the constructive steps you can take.

Trust that this has been a crucial learning process. Only in recognizing and acknowledging our “mistakes” can we learn, evolve, and grow as human beings.

On Saturday as I write this, the Moon is currently in late Cancer and enters Leo early tomorrow. Also over the weekend, Venus in Libra trines Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius.

This can be a potently healing aspect for relationships, allowing us to let go of resentments and clear the air with honest conversation. Be compassionate, and keep things light and breezy. The aspect could help us appreciate the beauty in our differences while still connecting on a heart, mind, and soul level.

With the Moon drifting from Cancer to Leo, the mood is likely to shift from emotional to passionate. What we seek ultimately is freedom, acceptance to be ourselves, and to be loved for who we are. But this means offering the same space and respect to another.

Socially, things are buzzing. Spend time with friends, breathe in inspiration and beauty, laugh, indulge in what uplifts your heart and spirit. After all the recent intensity, this should be a breath of fresh air.

Here’s wishing you a fun weekend!

With Love,

Priya

I was on the BSFollmer show again last night with Scott and Jeniffer, recording the coming week’s highlights. I’ll be back with a link to the podcast later this weekend, so please check back in.
