Spring cleaning…

We’ve been washed over by the energy of a beautiful Full Moon in Virgo. In spite of the devastating events, we have to trust the energy is only asking us to clean up our act; as individuals and a planet, so we can see with fresh eyes.

For me personally the astrology could not have been more on point. I’ve been praying for “Mary Poppins” to come help me with spring cleaning. With the Sun and Jupiter in Pisces in my 4th (relating to home) and my friend Ayesha called me out of the blue OFFERING to come clean my apartment and even came over with supplies. I have Virgo intercepted in my chart, which makes the energy harder for me to access.

When there is an interception in a chart this is one way it expresses itself. There is a sense of striving for something but the effort never being enough. Cleaning is literally a “chore” for me; something I feel like I am “always” doing but it’s never enough. It is also as I have also read in a book by Barbara Hand Clow it is also a lesson the soul specifically comes here to learn. Also interestingly my mother who has a Virgo Moon is coming to visit this week for a couple of weeks from India, hence the Spring Cleaning.

So this is a quick note to say I will be back with the March Monthly Horoscopes over the next day or so. In the meanwhile, you can read the an excerpt of the Virgo Full Moon report in the blog below this one. The full report contains an in-depth analysis of the major aspects over the next two weeks leading to the Pisces New Moon.

Hope all is well and the Full Moon has treated you kindly. The Moon is now in Libra past her conjunction to Saturn and will square Pluto early Tuesday in NYC. With the Moon in Libra, be nice…

Heavenly Virgo Full Moon…

Hello and welcome to a heavenly Virgo Full Moon…

There are major aspects developing now at the time of this lunation and over the next two weeks as we lead to the next New Moon in Pisces.

Later this week, Venus conjuncts Uranus, then enters Aries and forms a T-square with Saturn and Pluto. This at the same time as Mars stations direct in Leo after a long retrograde phase. Expect relationships, financial and creative situations to heat up over the next couple of weeks.

You can read more about these aspects in-depth in the full Moon report at this link. Now as the Moon grows Full in Virgo opposite the Sun and Jupiter in Pisces, we are already seeing the very real effects of this energy manifest across the globe. Here is an excerpt in light of the recent natural disasters.

Love and Prayers,

Priya

Virgo Full Moon, An Excerpt ==

“We’re leading up to a heavenly Full Moon in Virgo in opposition to the Sun and Jupiter conjunct in Pisces. This lunation occurs at 9+ degrees of the Virgo-Pisces axis at 11:37 AM EST….

“…Now as the Moon grows Full, there has been another earthquake and we’re expecting tsunamis across the world. I’ve been watching the news and compared to last month’s coverage on Haiti, it’s scary how little we are hearing of the current events in the US news. It’s almost as if we become jaded with each passing disaster. It’s long been proved that the Moon affects the tides, with the Sun conjunct Jupiter in Pisces this is a lot of water energy. With the Moon in opposition in Virgo, the earth seems to be crying out for healing.

“I am not one to “predict” disasters, but if things continue the way they have been, we have the middle of the year to watch out for. This is the earth re-balancing her energy, so resources can flow to those need. We live in a world where too few have too much, while the rest are left fending for them selves. This is no longer an issue of nations but a global concern and crisis.

“Unless nations come together to pour more resources into a relief fund for such disasters, we are all going to be deep water pretty soon. In the light of the recent disaster I would be surprised if this didn’t emerge in the news and Universal consciousness over the coming days. With the Sun conjunct Jupiter in Pisces, this is the wisest and most soulful move we could make as a planet.

“It’s true, it’s sad that it takes disaster to inspire our compassion. By mid-year at the time of the next set of Eclipses we will reach a major turning point with these events. Hopefully there will be no more ‘disasters,’ that can be avoided. Chile’s earthquake was 800 times more powerful than the one in Haiti. They were “prepared” for a natural disaster. Although even one life lost is a life too many, imagine if they weren’t prepared.

“But sadly we don’t need to rely on imagination. Look at how many lives could have been saved in Haiti. (I believe this is the point Niles was trying to make in a recent blog.) If we can work now to get infrastructure in place to the countries most susceptible to such disasters, we can prevent more unnecessary damage. Of course we don’t need astrology to tell us this, but the astrology could NOT be more emphatic of this fact now.

“God works in mysterious ways. Ours is not to question, just be available when we are called to action. In Virgo the Moon, is channeling this deeply spiritual energy asking us to become emotional channels as we embody a greater depth of awareness. We are indeed waves of the infinite cosmic ocean. What affects one of us affects us all and we can no longer remain in denial of this fact. Hopefully the greatest gift that can emerge from this recent disaster will be the recognition that we are indeed one planet. We are part of a larger whole. Until society and we as a planet wake up to the greater and deeper “spiritual reality” of our existence, we will continue to be thrashed around like waves in a storm.

“The planets in Aquarius, 2012 and the Mayan calendar, all the prophecies point to a great awakening of the human race. It is true we are undergoing a huge evolution in human consciousness. This is very real shift we are seeing happen on subtle levels. Those in deepest denial are the ones who are in for the rudest awakening.

“On a personal individual level as well, we are expanding in our consciousness and awareness of our gifts. Be wise and soulful in your choices and generous with your gifts. With the Moon in Virgo, allow this energy to wash over and soothe your worries rather than get worked up about something. The Moon will also trine Pluto suggesting we growing and maturing to a deeper understanding of something. ” — Priya Kale, Feb. 28, 2010, Virgo Full Moon report. Read Full Article.

Virgo Full Moon | Nobody is Imperfect…

In light of the Sun conjunct Jupiter in Pisces opposite Virgo Full Moon, here’s a quote. It’s a big emotional Moon, stay safe, soulful, wise…

==

Nobody is Imperfect

“Nobody is imperfect; hence nobody needs to be perfect. All that is needed is to live your life totally. Perfection is already there. We come from the perfect; hence we can’t be imperfect. We are born out of the ultimate, we are waves in the ocean of god. So whatsoever is the quality of god is the quality of the waves.

If god is perfect, we are perfect. So the very idea of becoming perfect is absurd. There is no need to become perfect, everyone is already perfect. But we are not living that perfection in its totality, we are living at the minimum. We are not using our potential, we are using only a minor part of it – scientists say not more than seven percent. Ninety-three percent potential is simply lost. And it was already there, available to for us to use. When you live a hundred percent you are really using the great opportunity that god has given you. And only at a hundred percent the transformation takes happens, never before it.

So my effort here is to make you love life as intensely as possible, to live each moment as wholly as possible, and slowly slowly something starts unfolding in you, and you start discovering yourself. The more challenges you give yourself, the more you discover.”

Hello All from a snowy, New York City,

With the Moon in growing full in Leo as we head towards the Virgo Full Moon on Sunday, there’s magic in the air waiting to burst forth.

Tomorrow as Mercury makes plenty of important aspects to planets suggesting revealing conversations bringing important truth and information to light. As long as we can keep ego’s in check and speak honestly there can be real progress. What we learn maybe bitter-sweet, but as long as there is no denial and we can keep awareness it has every potential to liberate. This can be very creative energy as well and there could be a genius idea floating if we can clear space for the muse.

Look back to the Aquarius New Moon on Feb. 13, 2010, the New Moon was conjunct Neptune and Chiron. Now as Mercury conjuncts these planets, we can give form to an idea that was taking seed then. Or in the case of relationships and negotiations, there can be more clarity now to something that was nebulous to begin with.

I will be back over the next day with the Weekly Horoscopes and the Virgo Full Moon report. This Full Moon occurs at 11:48 AM EST on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010. So the Moon will appear the fullest on Saturday night in most parts of the world; and on Sunday in Australia.

With the Sun in Pisces approaching Jupiter, keep the faith. There’s something huge in the works (as long as you know you are not being delusional) waiting to shower us with untold grace.

Have a safe and magical Full Moon and weekend. Stay warm,

With Love,

Priya Kale, NYC

Painted Soul: Mysticism and the Tyranny of Time

“One key difference between mystics and all others is that the mystic is one whose spiritual eyes have been opened…and they have “seen.”  Mystics are in a state of Being rather than – like most others – seeking to become.  Mystics are our poets and artists, our intuitional, creative thinkers, our inventors and our saints (paraphrased from Marsha Sinetar).”

The way of the mystic is a Journey that amalgamates the inner and outer journey into one. This way of living is a way in which one demonstrates living, the work that one does, and the faith that one holds, are all synthesized into one. That is the way of the mystic.

The way of the mystic is a wondrous Journey. The very journey is the goal because there is no arrival. All the way is the way. And as it has been said by Saints, “All the way to Heaven is, in truth, Heaven!” However, the fleshing out – the incarnating—of the Already while living in the Not Yet is the defining Moment: the journey of a lifetime.

The Mystic represents the very Journey to, and of, awakening.

The mystic grows in desire for an illumination by God simultaneously as the inner self is transformed and transmuted (like a caterpillar into a chrysalis) into an Awakened Soul all the while pulling away from the tiny fingers of the small ego.

The way of the mystic is one where the mystic seeks to end the so-called separation between the inner and outer, the real and false…allowing all to become one in the All.

The mystic hungers to have total and complete awareness of the Presence of God at all times, in all things, and in all ways.

The mystic seeks to end the tyranny of time and space over intimacy with God in every moment.

The motto of the Benedictine Order – Ora et Labora – means “Prayer and Work.”  And based on my experience of the Benedictine Order, their life is not spent in Work and in Prayer, but rather their life is spent removing the “and” from their motto.  It’s not so much that they spend time praying and they spend time working: their work is prayer and their prayer is work.

And such is the mystic.  The mystic seeks to remove the “and” from between the spaces in life and in our hearts.
Mystics seek to remove the “and” from prayer, work, love, service. They seek to remove the “and” from indeed all of life and living.

And thus, All becomes One in the absolute awareness of the cohesion of God’s loving, created order.

Hello and welcome to a new day,

There’s a couple of important aspects developing today at around Noon on the East Coast of the US, later in the evening and night in UK and Australia bringing relationships, creative and financial situations to a head.

Mercury in Aquarius (approaching in conjunction to Neptune and Chiron) squares Pallas in Scorpio. Within all conversations, especially surrounding emotional, financial or intimate situations recognize your own motives. Similarly in any conversations that you feel attacked, before reacting check your own defenses. Avoid trying to manipulate the truth. Honesty would be the best policy, but recognize the power of words to hurt or heal a situation. And be honest with yourself first.

Squares point to an inner resolution and turning point that needs to be reached. We can have important negotiations and reach a deeper penetrative understanding. With intimate relationships, issues surrounding financial or sexual boundaries seem to be highlighted. It will be easier to speak your truth, if you can first be honest with yourself about your needs and fears of rejection that keep you from expressing them.

Minutes after the Mercury-Pallas square, Venus in Pisces sesquiquadrates Mars in Leo. Any time Mars and Venus connect, relationships, finances and creativity are highlighted. There is a creative solution to something that has become a burning issue. Be fluid, hopeful and reach beyond any sense of disillusionment to something the heart desires. The aspect could reawaken desires we had long given up on, bringing fresh hope.

Mars is now slowing to halt in Leo and stations direct in less than two weeks on March 11, 2010. This transit has burned a hole through egos, asking us to confront our insecurities. But only in getting to the heart of a matter can we turn it around. In Leo this is asking us to finding self-confidence and our core fearless, spontaneous being.

Expect relationships to come to a boiling point today. Avoid letting fear, doubt, suspicion to cloud one’s interactions and avoid projecting hurt feelings onto a situation. Once we can own the ways in which we feel hurt, we can respond in honesty rather than explode, react in aggression or defensiveness like wounded animals. Even if things get too hot to handle, with awareness we could bring just the touch of grace that soothes a burning wound. In any relationship ask yourself if you’d rather be right or happy?

With the Moon now in Cancer [heading to full at the end of the week] it trines the planets in Pisces over today and tomorrow. As she connects with the Sun, Jupiter, Venus and Uranus, if we can come out of our shell and be honest with our feelings we reach new depths of understanding, deepening connection. Be guided by intuition and overcome the reluctance to open up. With a little effort this can release a flood of what we need. Creatively, financially, intimately we could be about to strike gold. Pour your heart into your passion.

On that note, I would like to offer a gentle reminder: This is a free blog and I hope to keep it that way and continue posting regularly. It does though take a generous portion of my day and your contributions will go a long way in helping me support the site.

I put up this website on Feb. 12, 2008 [after Niles’ incessant insistence] overnight with my friend Geetanjali in Mumbai. Since the seed was planted, the website has grown like a wild bush in need of pruning.

I am working to re-design the website but as you can imagine this requires a great deal of time, energy and investment, aside from the time it takes for me to maintain the current website and write.

If you feel like you receive something from this pages and are in a position to give back, I would greatly appreciate your generosity and assistance at this time.

You can make a contribution by using the PayPal button on the left of this blog. Or you can also support the site by buying a Subscription to the Weekly Horoscope service or the Cosmic Diaries 2010 Annual Horoscopes or book a Personal Consultation to get value for your money.

Hello All,

Juno enters Taurus today and will transit through the sign until April 17, 2010 bringing a change of flavor within all partnerships. Juno has been transiting through Aries since Dec. 19, 2010 a day before Mars stationed retrograde in Leo, bringing a passionate exchanges within partnerships; intensifying individual needs and desires.

Astrologically, Juno often represents the ‘bone of contention’ within an otherwise satisfying relationship. Aries is also the sign of discovery for Juno, signifying the core nature of her energy.

At worst, she can throw temper tantrums when she doesn’t get her way. But at best this transit has taught us the essence of independence within our relationships. To learn to stand in one’s own power within a relationship, without losing one’s sense of innocence, trust and passion.

Now as she enters Taurus the focus is likely to be on finding grounding within a partnership or partnerships. Within financial agreements or emotional bonds, it’s our core values that our coming into focus. Are we getting, what we are giving? Is there an equal exchange of energy? There can also be more of a focus on one’s needs for physical affection.

Juno often represents the thing we most need to “let go off” to have a less contentious experience. This does not mean sacrificing one’s values, but rather understanding how to become self-sufficient in oneself. So then relationships are based not on “needs,” but rather a willingness to exchange and share energy. Once we can “let go” there is often a discovery that we don’t need to “hold on.”

In Taurus, it would be important to remember that people are not possessions. Look at your own stubbornness or inertia, resistance to change that might stand in the way of your desires. Ask what makes you feel like you are not worthy of getting what you need. Although there may be a need for stability, commitment and physical affection, we can’t get what we don’t “feel” worthy of. Recognize your own self-worth and self-esteem.

Value yourself, as you offer the same respect. A battle of wills or “bulling” your way through something is likely not the way to go. Patience, commitment, faithfulness and understanding might be a better way to build and sustain something. If something is worth having, it’s worth waiting for and working towards. The strongest relationships are those built on a foundation of core values. Be yourself and allow another the same space, with a view to what is being built.

Also today, the Pisces Sun sextiles Pluto in Capricorn presenting us with a fresh perspective. Currently with a host of planets in Pisces as we lead into the Full Moon there’s magic in the air. What is needed now may not even be a dramatic change, but a subtle shift in psychological barriers that open up a whole new world of possibilities. Evolve to find your essence and discover the rainbow…

Painted Soul: God and the Poor (Just One Perspective)

I posted an excerpt from this article the other day. But I feel the urge to re-post given the facts, urgency and relevancy of the message. So in case you didn’t read it before, please take a moment now.

Painted Soul: God and the Poor (Just One Perspective)

An Excerpt==

“…considering the fact that Americans are suffering untold pain, stress, and tragedy, makes this topic even more timely.  Facts that include:

1 in 5 Americans are Underemployed;

1 in 6 Americans have no health insurance;

1 in 7 Americans are receiving food stamps;

1 in 8 American households went hungry at some time during 2008; and

1 in 10 Americans are Unemployed.

“These are not mere statistics.  Far from it, for these “numbers” represent millions of people: Families, Veterans, Children, Single Mothers, hard working Men and Women.

“The numbers are numbing.

“I once attended a ‘mega church’ outside of Philadelphia in the 1980s and they had a million dollar campaign to raise money for a bigger parking lot.  I used to question some of the pastors asking them how could they justify such a thing when less than 10 miles away 25% of the children of Philadelphia were living in poverty?  I received many answers about accommodating the “needs” of the congregation. Since when did a parking lot become a Biblical issue? Not one answer was satisfactory for me.

“Why do we people of faith spend so much time and energy on the things of this world when we are told to only be in the world but not of it?

“How can we ignore the call of God to serve and aid the poor and needy when it is one of THE most written about topics in the Scriptures?

“And why does it take a catastrophe to inspire compassion?”

‘Finger of God’ | Venus in Pisces squares the Great Attractor

Happy Monday everyone…

We’re leading up to a rather heavenly Virgo Full Moon at the end of the week.

At the time of the this Full Moon, the Sun will be in exact conjunction to Jupiter in Pisces. Also just a day before the lunation, Mercury conjuncts Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius; this triple conjunction in turn opposes Vesta and sextiles the Galactic Center. Full Moons always mark a peak in the energy.

But when the rest of the stars (planets) align in precision, that’s when we get that feeling of being in the right place at the right time — when things just flow. This has the potential to be one of those weeks. There are plenty of pleasures and treasures to be found and it’s bound to get dreamy. But the depth of our experience will depend on our willingness to take a leap of faith.

As the week begins, it may feel like a struggle to just keep one’s head above water. Over the weekend the Pisces Sun made quincunxes to Mars in Leo and Saturn in Libra forming a ‘Finger of God’ or Yod configuration. As the name suggests, this aspect is said to carry a ‘fated’ feeling of destiny.

In this configuration the energy is “nozzled” out through the planet making the quincunxes — in this case the Pisces Sun. It may have felt like being squeezed for every drop of faith in a situation. On the one hand the Mars in Leo is testing the ego and patience, while Saturn in Libra is asking for balance and fairness, rather than a quick easy solution.

To me, the question currently seems to be “What would the divine in me do?” Who are you beyond your name, occupation, family, friends and all your earthly, mental and emotional possessions? Consciously dive in to discover the essence of your soul. The Sun in Pisces is a reminder of our divinity in flesh. Our actions, indeed our “being” has a ripple effect, in ways seen and unseen; we attract into our world what we put out.

In major aspects today, Venus squares the Great Attractor; but with Moon in Gemini it sweeps through to form a T-square with Venus at the apex.  The energy is ripe to deepen spiritual, emotional and intimate connections, with delicious opportunities to swirl in ecstasy and inspiration. But if we aren’t careful this could lead to a lot of confusion, denial and projection, when what we seek is clarity. Look to the heart for wisdom, rather than try to emotionally or mentally analyze a situation. There is a creative solution waiting to emerge.

The Great Attractor in Sagittarius can tend to polarize situations with ‘truth’ that is too large for the mind to comprehend. With Venus in Pisces we are being asked to see, feel and listen with heart. Pour your energy into something you love. Intelligence is of the mind, but wisdom comes from the heart. Compassion arises, when pain and passion merge into ONE. Especially when it comes to relationships, we could be about to reach a divine understanding of the “suchness” of things. Chase the muse and feel the love…

Love and Passion,

Priya
