Dear Friends,

It’s been a wet, cold, rainy day in the New York City, with more on the way. Meanwhile higher up in the sky, Venus ingresses Taurus her home sign today [Mar. 31, 2010.] Venus in Taurus doesn’t come empty handed, she comes bearing gifts; the transit is due to bring much needed emotional and financial security. And even if she came empty handed, you can bet she’d know what to do with those hands. This is lush, sensual, creative energy which is is likely to find us growing in abundance, financially and emotionally.

On a deeper level this is about seeing the true value of someone or something — that which lies at the core. Taurus is the most physical sign of the zodiac. It represents the body, one’s possessions, material wealth, fertility and beauty. Most importantly this is the sign of self-worth. How we feel about ourselves determines the love and wealth we attract. It begins with self-acceptance.

Venus the ruler of the sign, gives us a clue to the source of abundance and life itself, is loving oneself. Loving one’s body can be one of the hardest challenges to face in this world of superficial beauty we live in. Our body is a gift indeed, the temple that houses the soul — giving us this gift and experience of life in the flesh. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

Earlier in the day, the Moon ingresses Scorpio at 8:45 AM EDT in the US, around mid-day in UK and later in the evening in Australia. We are still under the influence of the Full Moon energy.

Only now as the Moon enters Scorpio it squares Mars, expect the “politeness” of Libra to vanish and give way to deeper emotions that we may have suppressed. This could feel like a heatwave. At best this can be a lush expression of physical, sexual, sensual and creative energy.

In Scorpio, the Moon is intensifying feelings of desire perhaps even jealousy or possessiveness. In a square to Mars, be careful not to project your insecurities or act from pride, ego or your defenses. This is an opportunity to turn a corner in recognizing and more importantly owning ones true desires, feelings and power. Kill those demons with courage.

Relationships and financial situations reach the first in a series of coming turning points. Try not to control anyone or anything at this time. Find your own power and if you feel the heat rise, take a deep breath and count to ten before you say anything. Look at what is provoking a reaction rather than simply react. It may be scary to admit feelings even to ourselves, because it leaves us feeling exposed and vulnerable. There is nothing to be ashamed of, especially if what we feel is love. Only in acknowledging something can we change it and act on true desires rather than fear.

Even if it feels like a part of you is dying, this is only creating a fertile space for something new to be born. Relationships don’t end — they evolve. The Full Moon has brought to light important truths and true something cannot continue in the form it has been. If we can release the painful past, we can resurrect and re-ignite a spark. Financially as well, surrender any fears of going under and channel the energy creatively.

All aspects suggest if we move forward with an open heart with a sense of appreciation, humility, spontaneity and adventure, there is emotionally as well as tangibly there is gold to be mined.

With love,

Priya

Libra Full Moon, An Excerpt ==

“Libra’s symbol the scales provide a deep insight into its energy. Some of the core themes of Libra are truth, justice, balance and harmony. An air sign ruled by Venus, it represents the intellectual part of the creative process, love, fashion, beauty, and social graces.

“Most significantly it rules the 7th house of the zodiac completing the first set of opposites in the zodiac. Traditionally Libra represents marriage and relationships, which are indeed a fine balance between the “I” and the “thou.” A relationship (any kind) is only as “good” as the needs of both people are being met, if not things get off balance with one carrying more than their share of the burden. Then resentment almost always ensues.

“As the Full Moon passes over Saturn, it is revealing what is needed to stabilize a situation and highlighting important facts and truths we have to face. Every relationship is also a give and take and there may be a status quo that needs to change now. Look at the area of your chart occupied by Libra and be honest about the work that needs to be done.

“With Mercury, Venus and the Sun in Aries there is definitely an emphasis of awareness on one’s own needs. But the Moon only represents a deeper part of our psyche and emotional needs as well. What do you want from a relationship or situation? More importantly what are you willing to do to restore balance and harmony?

“An honest conversation or dialogue can certainly restore peace, but first we need to know where we stand with ourselves. Like the scales, relationships sway. We don’t need to find perfection at all times, but rather our own natural rhythm of give and take with each other.

“Relationships are certainly heating up and reaching a turning point as Venus squares Mars in Leo at the end of the week, shortly after her ingress in Taurus mid-week.” — Priya Kale, An excerpt from the Libra Full Moon report. Read full article.

Heading towards the Libra Full Moon…

We are fast heading towards a powerful Full Moon in Libra exact at 10:25 PM EDT on Mar. 29, 2010 and on Mar. 30, 2010 at 2:25 AM UT and 12:25 PM AEST.

Where ever you are in the world, the Moon will appear fullest on Monday night. Expect important revelations within relationships, but more importantly this is shining a light on deep personal truth about our own individual needs and desires.

With the Moon in Libra and Sun in Aries, this is about finding an emotional balance within oneself, as well as balancing our needs with the needs of another. Don’t fight for justice, when what you want is peace.

A few hours before the lunation, Venus in Aries sextiles Neptune in Aquarius infusing the climate with an added dose of beauty and creativity. This aspect can help us open and soften heart that letting us see the divine in others and allowing others a glimpse into who we truly are.

We may also be moved to do something altruistic with our time and energy. Don’t underestimate the value of a small act of kindness. Creatively, financially and in love, let Spirit move you.

Also this week Venus enters Taurus shortly after the Full Moon as the Moon enters Scorpio. With Mars in Leo forming a T-square to Venus and the Moon at this time we can expect things to get hot and heavy. If it all gets too intense, take a deep breath and view it with a little detachment.

I’ll be back sometime Monday with the detailed Moon report, covering the astrology of the lunation and the upcoming two weeks till the time of the New Moon.

Until then be nice, remember to breathe and make love, not war. Here’s wishing you a Beauty-Full Libra Moon…

Love and Passion,

Priya

I don’t know about you, but it’s been quite the hairy couple of days. Yesterday’s aspects with Venus conjunct Eris released a lot of energy.

This may have been utterly chaotic — Eris was the Goddess of Discord whose toss of a golden apple started the Trojan War. Emotionally, it may feel like we’ve been through a battle zone but in the midst of chaos has emerged truth.

Today Venus trines Vesta in Leo just as the Moon ingresses Leo and conjuncts Mars. This is more fiery energy but likely much easier to navigate and potentially a lot more healing.

Creatively, romantically and even personally this can be a deep release of passion allowing us to get in touch with a core sacred fire that burns incessantly.

With the Moon conjunct Mars also in Leo, this could also give rise to heated emotions. It may require courage, but be bold and honest about your feelings. Although with aspects like this it will be hard to deny their presence.

Just focus on what heals you rather than caught up in any ego dramas. Be spontaneous and playful as you chase your hearts desire.

Also significantly, late tonight just before mid-night in NYC, overnight and early Friday morning in Australia, the Sun squares Pluto bringing us to a major turning point. This is triggering the T-square aspect taking place mid-year.

With the Sun in Aries, this is about renewed life and energy, while Pluto in Capricorn is asking us to come to an inner recognition of the way the past has it’s hold on us so we can turn a corner. The aspect suggest a personal victory if we can surrender our demons.

Rather than project powerlessness or feel like a victim look at your own power in a situation. It’s there waiting for you to seize it. It will mean taking greater responsibility for our actions and understanding the future need not be the same as the past as long as we are willing to evolve in our understanding.

When it comes to failure and success, all we can do is live and learn. Even something we thought was a failure could turn out to be the biggest stepping stone on the way to experience we could never have learned any other way.

When I look back on my life, some of my most painful experiences have made me who I am today — for better or for worse, indeed there is no difference. Every moment led up to this one and if I still exist, who am I to question my existence? I can only try to walk in awareness of it.

All that matters is that we are true to ourselves. The conscience is a prickly thing, it keeps us in check. But just make sure you are able to separate the inner voice of truth from any fears of judgment. Or having to toe rules based on past [perhaps parental] conditioning.

Also look closely at where your ideas about success or fears of failure come from. You are not your parents, nor are you simply a product of society. Reach for your highest integrity and personal best.

Avoid trying to control or manipulate or change anyone or anything. We can only change ourselves. Just as much as we are changing, so is each and every person on this planet and indeed the planet itself.

Things can be different, but we have to trust our own ability to make them so without giving in to the voice of fear.

This is true for any day, but especially today look at what rules your choices. Fear is not likely the way to go. We are gaining maturity and the only thing stopping us from the future is our own grip on the past. Dig deeper and evolve to find the true source of wealth — you.

More Astrology: Saturn in Libra squares Ceres in Capricorn

Note: Please read Blog below this one for Mar. 24, 2010 Astrology as well.

==

I got ahead of myself yesterday and interpreted the aspects for today in yesterday’s blog, so please read that if you haven’t already. But there is another major aspect today shortly after the others, as Saturn in Libra squares Ceres in Capricorn.

This may bring a feeling of separation or deep lack of nurturing. In Capricorn, there may be concerns regarding housing, shelter, food and the basic necessities of life.

With unemployment as high as it is, this is naturally a very real source of concern. But squares suggest we look internally rather than project the energy.

Rather than focus on the lack of resources, find your inner strength and resilience as you turn a corner. Life is resilient enough to grow between the hardest rocks.

Within relationships, where does one draw the line between being a caregiver and being an equal partner? When does “help” however well-meaning end up disabling, rather than enabling someone to accept responsibility? Ceres in a chart can represent what one needs to feel loved and nurtured. But how does one become the soft-shoulder to lean on and yet be able to give tough love when needed?

Also, are we able to ask for what we need? Or do we expect others to understand our needs? Look at how your parents model for a relationship may linger as conditioning. Look at where we might put u walls and not be able to receive what is being offered. This is about each persons needs being met.

Just as much as each person is different, each relationship is naturally different. Co-operation and teamwork will be key to finding mutual satisfaction. This may even highlight parenting skills perhaps; rather do things the way your parents have done perhaps this is about finding new rules.

Given the other aspects developing today (read post below this one) honest conversations could really have us turning an important corner. Let’s not forget we are moving towards the Libra Full Moon early next week bringing us important lessons about the fine balance needed within our relationships to each other and existence at large.

The astrology also seems to be pointing to a major turning point, as far as the historic Health Care Bill passed in the US yesterday. This has been the subject of much debate over the past months but hopefully this is beginning of better access to health-care for all. I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t know politics. But I do know that health care should not be unaffordable.

Even in India [home, where I grew up and lived a third of my life before moving here to the US] there is free health-care for ANYONE who needs it. Naturally the wait is longer and the resources are far from enough, but ANYONE no matter HOW poor can take their sick child to a doctor and not have to pay for it.

Or even if they do pay, there are general practitioners who treat patients daily at a minimal, absolutely affordable cost. And India is a “third world” country. I know there are  other countries have free health care as well, then why is it impossible here in the US? (And that question is only partially rhetorical.)

We will have to see what surfaces when Ceres conjuncts Pluto, which marks a core evolution point. Surely we will also see the darker side of politics surface.

But mythologically Ceres stood up to even Pluto. “She was the goddess of agriculture & when her daughter Persephone was kidnapped by Pluto in an attempt to force her to marry him, Demeter became so distraught looking for her daughter that she neglected the Earth which became cold and most plants died. – Wikipedia” To me this is inspiring, suggesting real change on the horizon.

Also given today Mercury trines the Great Attractor, I feel there is much to be optimistic about. It all depends on how we choose to see it.

Dear Friends,

There’s a cluster of aspects occurring today within the space of an hour around mid-day in the US. Mercury in Aries trines the Great Attractor in Sagittarius, followed by Venus’ conjunction to Eris, followed by Uranus’ square to the Galactic Core.

This is a quite a burst of energy in a short space of time, allowing for penetrative conversations that pierce through the heart of the matter. There also may be a sense of impatience of urgency, of wanting something and wanting it now.

Venus conjunct Eris can lead to a feeling of fragmentation, but it is a reminder to keep true to one’s desires in spite of the million things “expected” of you. Be extremely honest with yourself, especially regarding love and money. The Great Attractor has the quality of allowing us to see around the bend. An important conversation may reveal a deep truth but there is a feeling here of being able to see far into ones future.

Dare to imagine the best possible future you can and then trust the Universe has imagined it just a little bit better. It will just require faith, willingness to speak candidly and to put your money where your mouth is. But with a little effort, a situation that has seemed chaotic and confounding could suddenly make a whole lot of sense.

Just dare to be honest and you may be pleasantly surprised.

Sun opposite Saturn | Mars sextiles Saturn | Jupiter sextiles Juno

Hello and welcome to another big week,

We’re past the Equinox and the energy is quickening and changing gears. Late Saturday in the US, shortly after midnight in the UK the Sun opposed Saturn in Libra. There may have been obstacles and hurdles to overcome; facts to face up to but we’re past the major hurdle of the week.

There may still be a lingering sense of heaviness but rather than focus on all that is oppressive, keep faith and be adventurous. As long as we are willing to take responsibility for our actions, there is a way forward from here to what we want to create in our world.

What’s promising is as Mars in Leo sextiles Saturn in Libra (a little before midnight in NYC) we can make steady progress towards stability with conscious effort. There is a creative solution forward so use your natural optimism, to see you through the heavy lifting. Just pace yourself; Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Given that Mars has recently stationed direct, look at a situation with an open heart and renewed confidence, as you choose commitments worth investing your energy in. Dedication to your passion will bring rewards. Relationships (both personal and financial) are no doubt under scrutiny with these aspects. Again try to find a balance between your needs and another’s and be willing to explore your spontaneous sense of adventure. If what we seek is closeness and intimacy, we have to be willing to share our warmth rather than lead with our defenses.

Later in the week on Friday, the Sun exacts a square to Pluto bringing us to a turning point within situations. There is likely to be a deeper understanding of the landscape and things we need to do for our personal evolution. In spite of the major shifts taking place in your life, the sky suggests there is enough support in terms of emotional and material resources. But it will require mutual respect and cooperation rather than trying to control situations or give in to fear.

Also today, in another major aspect Jupiter in Pisces sextiles Juno in Taurus. This aspect bodes well for relationships. It seems to be providing a fertile space for growth, with a recognition of the greater depth of feelings and commitment. Pour your energy into those relationships that open and expand your world, while giving you the acceptance to be yourself. Be wise as you nurture what you value rather within a partnership, than trying to possess or control someone. The aspect is a reminder of the virtues of faith, patience and unconditional love.

Meanwhile, the Moon remains in Gemini through Monday and will aspect Uranus, Neptune and Chiron giving us a chance to clear the air with important conversations. It’s been an intense few days and week no doubt, but and the changes occurring this week are setting in motion events that will carry us forward for a while to come.

We are making important commitments, so choose wisely based in the now. No matter how much the mind would like us to believe otherwise, things are not the same they were even a few weeks ago. Yesterday’s opposition to Saturn marked an important milestone and that’s the good news. Onward and upward…

I’ll be back with the blog tomorrow. In the meanwhile – please read the Sample Weekly Horoscopes or schedule a Personal Consultation to make the most of the changes in your life…

Love,

Priya Kale, NYC

March Equinox | Here comes the Sun…

Hello and Welcome to the Equinox!

Today, Mar. 20, 2010 marks the March Equinox (or Vernal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere,) when earth’s axis is neither tilted away from, nor towards the Sun; bringing us equal days and nights. Astrologically this is marked by the Sun’s ingress into Aries, the first sign of the zodiac.

It’s been a long, winter (or summer) — as hot as it was cold, metaphorically and literally. But the Equinox marks a time of natural balancing of energies without and within, above and below.

Very simply put, astrologers look at astronomical data to intuitively and creatively, interpret planetary energies. Astrology is a study of the “Here and Now.” When we look at a astrological chart, we are looking at the convergence of the “whole” at a moment, in time and space. With respect to a Natal Chart, it is a convergence of this divine whole that came to life in dynamic “human” form at that moment of “birth.” This moment “lives” on through our being and life. When we stop trying to “become” we can “be.” This is the Sun in Aries at best — life’s longing for itself.

On Saturday, Mercury squares Pluto, bringing a deeper recognition of an internal struggle or a feeling of powerlessness; own it and you can move past it. At what cost can one remain unheard? Recognize the power of your own voice, rather than engage in destructive, futile battles or word games that serve no purpose. Avoid any desire to control or manipulate a situation. At what cost do we cling to a past idea of how things “should” be? If what one seeks is new way forward, we have to learn to put down the armor and make the effort to engage in constructive conversation. Evolve your understanding of the past, so you can release it to see the possibilities in the present.

Also on Saturday, significantly Venus in Aries squares the North Node, suggesting a turning point within financial and relationship situations. With other aspects taking place at this time, don’t underestimate the surging passion that could move mountains with faith. Late Saturday, Sunday [around midnight UT] the Moon enters Gemini, as the Sun moves towards a trine to Mars (direct in Leo,) this is the resurrection of spontaneous creative, sexual passion and zest for life at its finest.

There are still a few hurdles to move past as the Sun opposes Saturn on Monday; but as Mars sextiles Saturn on Tuesday, no matter what seems like an obstacle we can navigate this energy by seeing the new and choosing constructive, creative action. We are reaching personal milestones and are due to make important shifts that will carry us for a while to come. It will require dedication and commitment but the rewards are sure to follow. Choose where you want to invest your energy.

The Sun’s aspects to the Saturn-Pluto square are triggering the major T-Square in effect later this year as Jupiter and Uranus both ingress Aries at the end of May, early June. Consider this week a “small” precursor of what’s to come. Mid-year as Jupiter and Uranus enter Aries, this is due to bring a personal revolution, as much as it is a global one. We are awakening to our individual gifts, but will mean making the difficult choices now and taking responsibility for our actions.

Right now as much as there is a drive and will to live to the fullest extent of one’s passion, there is a likely a sense or feeling of life being precariously balanced — this is the energy of the Equinox. How do we act not only according to our selfish needs and desires, but in accordance with the life that moves within? One need not feel at war with the world.

Aries is the sign of the individual spirit, but it is also a reminder that we are children of the Universe. The source of ‘Martian’ fearlessness; the ability to live one’s purpose to the fullest extent can only come from childlike curiosity, trust and innocence to explore one’s environment. Focus on what you are creating now and trust the future will take care of itself.

Love and Passion,

Priya Kale, NYC

Pisces New Moon report, An Excerpt ==

“To understand the lunation cycle, we need to understand that the Moon and Sun [as do the other planets] represent the energy operating through different elements of our being: the Sun represents the primary consciousness and life force, while the Moon the inner psyche and emotional nature.

“Each month as the Moon cycles around the zodiac it conjuncts the other planets in the sky — she is like a sponge, collecting and integrating the ‘different’ energy into our Psyche. By the time of the New Moon we come full circle with this energy integrated in our primary consciousness. When the Sun and Moon are aligned we are “one” with ourselves; allowing us to make new starts in the direction of our future. In turn, setting us on a two week cycle towards growth and manifestation as we head to the Full Moon.” — Priya Kale, Pisces New Moon report, Mar. 15, 2010.

Soul searching… | Moon in Taurus sextiles Jupiter in Pisces

Hello All,

The recent New Moon in Pisces has done it’s share of clearing space. Now with the Sun in it’s final day of Pisces, it’s time for deep soul searching.

Today the Moon continues to move through Taurus and sextiles Jupiter in Pisces late in the day (in the US) opening up a rich fertile space — lush, comforting, and sensual as much as it is creative.

With Jupiter there’s always the possibility of going ‘overboard.’ Indulge by all means, but keep it real.

Tomorrow, Saturday Mar. 20, 2010 marks the equinox as the Sun ingresses Aries; also Mercury squares Pluto.

I’ll be back with a longer blog covering this and more astrology for the weekend a little later Friday, so please check back in. As the Beatles sang, “Here comes the Sun…”

Bye for now…
